This is such a gorgeous place, beautiful building and rooms, lovely people who were so hospitable and friendly, clean comfortable room in an absolutely brilliant location. We only stayed one night in Nizwa and would love to come back and stay at the Al Dar Inn again. It was such an authentic experience. Everything is within a couple minutes walking distance. We actually didn't expect it to be as nice as it was so it exceeded our expectations.

We look forward to when the property has an onsite restaurant (especially for breakfast) and the pool, garden, and roof terrace are open for guest use!

We were pleased with our stay at Al Dar Inn. Our rooms were large and well-furnished with decor that incorporated the natural materials of the area in a colorful creative style. Amenities included a mini-fridge and kettle with a coffee/tea set-up. Located within the historic district, we were steps away from the Nizwa museum and a short walk (5 minutes?) from the historic sites, souk, shops, and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet so we slept very well. We appreciated the onsite parking. The hotel staff were thorough in providing information at check-in and came quickly when we needed assistance with the television set-up. On a rainy evening, we were touched when they delivered snacks to our room (knowing that many guests would stay in their rooms). This is a new property and facilities such as the pool, garden, and restaurant are still in construction. We knew this in advance and this did not impact our stay. However, we look forward to returning to see the finished resort!

The room had a intensive leather smell but after we opened the windows for a couple of hours it was gone.

Nice room and view from the windows. The hotel is modern but also in a traditional style. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The road to the hotel might be found slightly intimidating by drivers not used to narrow roads.

Nothing really, but it would be a good idea to have restaurant for breakfast. Also something to keep mosquitoes away.

The style and location. It is located in the very heart of historical Nizwa, next to the fort and souk. The hotel is very clean, in a nice, authentic style, which reminds you of the past. The staff are helpful and polite.

Nothing comes up to my mind.

It's situated in the old town, and is 2 minutes' walk from Nizwa Fort and 3 minutes' walk from the Nizwa Souq. The hotel itself is a traditional architecture. Everything is new in the hotel, so everything is spotless. Wifi works well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. From them, you can really feel the hospitality of Omani people.

No breakfast offering. As there is still alterations going on at the property hope this will be made available in the future. Some recommendations about the surrounds and activities would also be good. Glass on the windows so as to open and see a view without having to have the window open.

Location and cleanliness. Rooms were comfortable with all amenities required. This will be a great property when the alterations are complete.

I can’t complain - I was very pleasantly blown away by this very beautiful boutique hotel.

Charming and clean hotel 3 mins walk from Nizwa fort and souk. Design was a stunning tribute to the local architecture, with all the modern comforts (great A/C, many charging ports, modern bathroom, hairdryer, toiletries and coffee) very thoughtfully supplied. The attention to every detail here was incredible. Great dining options and a supermarket nearby too.
