Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaDefinitely needs more TV channels (or chrome cast). Very little options for English speakers. There could also be more food options available. They could also publicise the Domaine du Deva amenities more.
The room (a bungalow) was amazing. Spacious and oh so private. Located within the Domaine du Deva, a nature lovers paradise.

AustraliaThe standard guest room was very small and didn't include a sofa bed or kettle. The security safe in both rooms didn't work. Rooms were quite far apart. Nautical activities weren't available for us. The pool was warm and busy. It was easy to get locked outside.
We booked two rooms for our family of 5. The larger guest room was spacious and included a kitchen with a full fridge/freezer. It was great being able to buy take away tapas and pizza as an option instead of buffets. Air conditioning worked well in both rooms.

AustraliaAs with all of NC be prepared to pay through the nose for food and drinks. To the resorts credit they do offer some wines and beer that are more reasonably priced and not bad quality. Wildlife can be a little noisy at night but we decided it just adds to the atmosphere. Be prepared that the beach isn’t well suited to swimming as the sea grass is quite close to the shore so grab the canoes and go for a paddle instead!
We stayed in a bungalow which was a beautifully decorated room. Bathroom was luxurious with a pebble stone shower and big bathtub. Staff were typically very helpful and friendly - any that were not confident in their English were quick to get a colleague that was to help us out. The sunsets were beautiful and the bar has a great position to take advantage of them.

AustraliaThe unit was a long way from reception and the central facilities, whihc meant getting there did require the golf buggies. However, these were very readily available nd the staff most helpful in arranging them.
The staff were excellent and so were the facilities...a very high standard. The location is fantastic being right on the ocean.

New CaledoniaThe room overlooking the garden was very spacious and confortable but it was a pity that the west-facing terrace was very hot from 1pm until sunset, so that we were not able to use it. An awning would be greatly appreciated!
The dining room & reception areas were beautiful & the pool area was excellent. The staff were friendly & efficient.

AustraliaCustomer service was very lacking during the week, no one seems to want to help or even serve you to buy food or drinks. Seems like they change staff on weekend and this changes though. Buggies take ages to pick you up, 30 minutes later we ended up walking to reception I would suggest 3-4 days is the perfect amount of time to stay at this property I would suggest if you’re staying here is to have a car, fridge in room but no shops in walking distance.
Very secluded property, nothing and no one around. Very good if you just want to be away from everyone and everything. Buffet breakfast was amazing.

New ZealandSo far, to walk to everything. Everything is spread out too far. Expect a hike from your room to spa, bat, restaurants, pool, beach & reception. They do have pick-up services at your service, though. Limited English speakers. Rooms need a bit of TLC they are good, just not like what you see in the pictures on the website.

New ZealandSo far from anything else. I discovered today that the museum in Bourail has a good history of the female convicts and a guillotine but I didn’t know this at the hotel.

SingaporeThe breakfasts could be included in the room price since there are limited options nearby. A free access to the gym could be included too. Sone rooms are really far from the entrance and restaurant but the golf carts are quite helpful even if their numbers are limited, thus waiting time can be long.
The property and all the main facilities are quite modern and in very good condition. The reception room is really impressive. Location is great and ideally oriented to capture sunsets.

New ZealandUnfortunately, the pool was closed for most of our stay, and we did not get to use it at all. 3 our of 7 fitness machines were out of order. The spa had limited capacity as well. We were out of season so the hotel was probably using this time to do the maintenance but we did not feel we got everything out of that place.
What a fantastic place - it is secluded, with a lot of space, green lush flora, a beautiful beach, and helpful staff. The room was comfortable with everything we needed.
