ZimbabweI would have wanted a Scale in the bathroom I'm a weight watcher A swimming Pool would be nice. A shop that sells toiletries etc. would be nice. A boutique A hotel Taxi readly available would also be nice.
Location was fine . Near by Resturants, catering for different tastes was good. Walking track from the hotel to the Mall was appreciated . The crafts markets nearby was also a good idea. The Children's play ground nearby very good.

GermanyIn general I did not like Swakopmund and I would not recommend any European to go there.. it feels like being in a north East Sea place in Germany and not in Africa.. not so many interesting attractions around I would spend 1 max 2 nights there just to do the trip to sandwich harbor..
The receptionists are outstanding, great support, very friendly, they really try to help the customer also for activities or bookings not connected to the hotel, great professionalism!

I've travelled to 68 countries and nowhere have I had the breakfast choices that The Strand offered. It was incredible. The variety was unbelievable and everything was fresh and very tasty. Staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful and friendly. A wonderful stay. Thank you.

There are not many things that one can dislike! The staff, both at reception and in all associated restaurants are top-welcoming and caring! Location is great, with direct access to the coast, and in waking distance to town center. The food in restaurants is good, and ww tried all 3 of the eateries. The laundry was done the same day, which is important for rambling travelers as we were during our Namibian tour.

The Strand Hotel felt like an oasis after coming from the desert…extremely welcoming staff everywhere, sumptuous yet cozy interieur, a extremely varied breakfast buffet with endless choices and 3 restaurants incl. outdoor & sea facing terras/bar in house - there was nothing we could ask for on top of that!
