It is a wonderful place to relax and switch off. Very lovingly designed. The pool is small but perfectly adequate for cooling off. The waitress Queen was the best waitress you can imagine.

Solitaire has perfect location. Probably the best in the region for visiting Sossusvlei/Deadvlei within 1 hour (to the gate) for very reasonable price (lodges nearby Sesriem are quite expensive for us). The place is stylish with big rooms, hot water, wifi and beautiful cactus garden with fresh swimming pool in the middle. Bonus is the gas station at the gate of lodge, but the peace of cake is the best apple pie from local bakery (opens very early in the morning). The pie is a must! Restaurant has pretty good choice of meals for dinner, breakfast is very good standard.

The room was a bit dark, the light was needed during the day time. But perhaps it is for reason.

Spacious room with large comfy beds. Territory and facilities are clean, beatiful and relaxing. Good breakfast and amaxing apple pie in the bakery next door.

We had a fantastic experience at Solitaire Lodge during our overnight stay. The rooms were exceptional and cozy, and the freshly prepared breakfast packed to go was a delightful touch. The restaurant's delicious food and top-notch cookies added to the overall satisfaction. We're definitely planning to stay there again in the future.

The property is much nicer than it looks from the road: the rooms are very nice, the landscaping is fabulous, and the staff is friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed the pool and the meals (dinner and breakfast). While the location is a bit more remote from the Sossusvlei park gate, it is considerably more affordable than those nearer the park. Before dinner, we had a chance to take a tour of the Cheetah Sanctuary. About 60-90 min long, the tour got us close to the five cheetahs (siblings orphaned relatively young). While petting the animals is not an option (at least for those of us who lived to write reviews), the tour gets close to the cats and is very informative. The cats are used to visitors, but still wild. Watching them from 10 feet away, from the safety of the safari vehicle, but with no obstacles in between is awesome.

Everything was good. We were a bit apprehensive above the roads, after a flat tyre a few days earlier. We drove down from Walvis Bay in a few hours. Great scenery, no problems with the roads.

It is a wonderful place in the middle of the desert. Great staff, nice room, good food. Everything is there, bar / restaurant, petrol station, tyre repairs, shop, swimming pool.

There was no freezer in the room to keep your things cool.I think they must put small freezers in the rooms for that warm days.

The staff welcome, we were given a nice refreshing cold drink, which was just what we needed. We hadn't come far on the C19 road, but it was good to get here. The room was great, 2 double beds, shower was excellent. It had a good swimming pool. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. We had some of the famous apple pie, it was very good. The WiFi was available all over the site even in the area where the vintage cars, etc, were displayed. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at how great the site itself was. On our way to Swakopmund, so more travelling on the C19 tomorrow, I'm not looking forward to that 😕

This is certainly the place for you to relax after long drives. The fact that you can find treats for your sweet tooth, good food, fuel, check your tyres and have animals around (kudos, cheetas, birds, warthogs, and so much more). Certainly the place to go back
