With no air conditioning and temperatures soaring the rooms were too hot. It was ok for sleeping but you couldn’t spend any time in them during the day. Also no kettle or mini fridge.

The lodge has the most beautiful pool area and the water was comfortable to swim in.

it was our second stay in this hotel after 2017 and the hotel is still fantastic in a very remote location. very nice landscape, super food and a nice swimming pool. the staff and managers are also very friendly. we will be back

The cottages where you spend the night are rather on the small side. Small bathroom. unfortunately no fridge in the room. For cooling, there is only a ceiling fan. Not enough in summer, but sufficient in other seasons.

We were on a prospecting trip this year and looking for new locations to visit Namibia with small groups. This lodge is beautifully situated in the desert. The views are phenomenal. the sundowner is unforgettable. Breakfast and dinner are tasty. Lunch doesn't amount to much but is quite handy to eat something in between. In summer, it does get really hot inside. The view from the pool is breathtaking.

Got lost on one of the walks. Make sure you take a route map and plenty of water. My fault!

A special place and a must for a few days stop over in this area. We had the larger unit which provides good space and facilities. The view from our terrace was beautiful including the waterhole visitors. The pool area is a welcome relief from the heat.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We loved the Rostock Ritz Desert Lodge. The location and views were incredible. Staff super friendly and food fantastic. Really good price too. I highly recommend staying here.

The Rostock Ritz is a welcoming and nicely located lodge. The "igloos" in stone are perhaps a bit small and with basic comfort, but they offer also a little porch with magnificent view. The main area has a.o. a restaurant that serves an excellent dinner and a fine breakfast. Friendly welcome, competent staff and much appreciated info concerning the hikes on the premises.

the igloos were quirky, smaller than expected and not as cool as expected though keeping the doors and windows open helped a lot. the restaurant food was adequate but unexciting, wi-fi was very temperamental and inconsistent (not a wholly bad thing except needed to do some business)

The food options for people preferring to not eat meat could be more varied.

We loved the hikes. The hike into the Gaub-river canyon is spectacular. We were lucky as it had rained and there was water in the canyon. Spectacular rock formation. We also enjoyed the evening drive!

Food was amazing - very tasty. Location was stunning - very scenic although quite a drive on the dirt road. So tranquil.

The service for dinner was a bit slow. We could not really see what we were eating because the lighting in the dining room is too dark.

We loved the location, the view and the quiet peaceful atmosphere. We loved the sundowner drive, really interesting and exceeded our expectations. Bedrooms are amazing and really high quality. It was our second trip there, we would return again and again. The swimming pool is lovely and nice and warm too.

The location is outstanding, stunningly beautiful landscape. If a remote getaway is what you are looking for then this is a great option. The staff were all lovely, accommodating and pleasant and offered an array of activities without pressurising. Breakfast was good, dinner options were great, especially considering the remote location of the place!

Lots of bugs got into the room. The netting that's behind the doors and windows were not maintained, so when the cleaning staff left the windows opened after cleaning bugs got into the room. Couldn't open the balcony door and cool the room given the bugs that would enter from the broken pieces of the outer mesh. Given the amount you pay for the accommodation, expect a more comfortable stay.

Location and service was excellent. Especially from the restaurant staff.
