Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Mokuti Etosha really is a luxurious getaway right outside the Etosha national park. The food and amenities are wonderful. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here!

BelgiumWe booked the sundowner drive onthe private property and got to see some intersting animals (don’t expect the big game like lion, giraffe or zebra), but for the price paid, we expected a bit more than just the platter and drinks. In the end, we still needed to go to the dinner buffet, while we expected a bit more included in the drive. But we did experience a beautiful sunset from the sundowner deck.
Except if you stay inside Etosha National Park, you can’t get any closer to the park. Perfect location to get an early morning start and explore the area all the way up to King Nehale gate. Nice rooms, quiet even though it’s a large complex, rooms located in different smaller buildings. Very friendly staff.

Mokuti is a great hotel to stay during you trip in Etosha. The hotel was far beyond expectations, the architecture of the building is beautiful, the personnel is very friendly and always happy to help you in the best possible way. The pictures don’t provide a good view of how it’s in real. The breakfast / dinner / lunch is incredible with some great local dishes. We were looking forward the whole day to the next meal. The game drive and other facilities are well organised. We would definitely recommend Mokuti.

Czech RepublicAn incredible place - a magical paradise in the middle of the wilderness. Excellent cuisine - sensational dinner and breakfast. Antelopes grazed inside the compound next to the pool. Very nice staff. An environment that pampers you. Beautifully designed exteriors and interiors. After a challenging journey and experiences in the park, you will reach an oasis of comfort.

This is the perfect destination for a peaceful getaway and to witness the wildlife at Etosha National Park. During our stay, we went on three game drives with Mokuti's well-informed and skilled guides. The dinner and breakfast at the hotel were outstanding. Also, make sure not to overlook the delightful blesboks (antelopes) that freely roam the hotel's grounds.

MalaysiaDinner is only buffet which is not very flexible, laundry costs are pricey and qualify of food could be improved over quantity/selection of food.
The hotel grounds are lovely, staff are warm and helpful, the decor is beautiful and it is conveniently located for Namutoni gate. We had a good offer on nightly rates which we felt was fair and good value before the rates increased

United KingdomWe found the Lodge exceptional with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't fault the food, which was always displayed at its best. Special praise has to go to the Game Guide, Petros, who was very knowledgeable, professional and knew how to look after the people on his tour and really excelled on every front.

GermanyCompared to the rest of the experience, the rooms itself are clean and chic but rather basic and not too big.
We had an amazing stay at Mokuti Etosha! We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2-year-old son and felt welcome and cared of every second since the moment we arrived. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel has just been completely renovated (4 months ago) and looks super modern and chic. There are lounge areas everywhere and the swimming pool is huge with relaxing chairs in the water and a pool for smaller children too. There are local animals wondering around and the garden is well maintained. We especially loved the food - the quality and breadth of choice was exceptional - especially compared to other Namibian lodges we stayed at. After dinner, you could relax at a cozy fireplace under a sky full of stars. All in all, we would rate this experience with a 10/10.

GermanyWhat a beautiful and luxurious lodge just outside of the gates of Etosha. Even though Mokuti was not really within our budget, we are very happy that we decided to stay here for one night. The atmosphere is absolutely unique and the staff is beyond amazing. Thank you especially to Saraa, who made us feel more than welcome. The staff, the rooms, the bed, the fire place, the bar, the pool, the animals grazing everywhere on the premises, it all contributed to a magnificent stay. Highly recommend staying here when you have the chance.

ThailandNothing. But I wish the rooms got remodeled as well. It would have been very nice. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious but was full of moths flying around inside the room.
The public area of this property is very clean and well-maintained. We loved the modern look and feel in the reception area, the restaurant, the bar and the swimming pool. The staff were very helpful and kind. Dinner and breakfast were very good. I wish we have time to spend more nights here. My wife and I also booked their Spa service and had a great experience. There were a few springboks roaming around the property, right by the pool, during the day time. I highly recommend this place as it is located right outside the Etosha's east gate.

South AfricaThat this place is better than my own home.
I want to compliment the owners, manager and staff of Mokuti Etosha with this beautiful hotel. The interior and decor are luxurious and elegant. The staff is well trained. The breakfast was delicious. The supper was worth more than we paid for, and such a wide variety. The rooms are spacious and modern. It is an oasis. The pool is enormous. Mokuti opened its brand new doors in March 2023, and what a place it is.

ItalyWe had an issue with hot water lack and cannot have warm shower. They solved, but not promptly as should be in a structure of such high level.
Excellent position and amazing common areas. The structure has been renovated in a wonderful way, really beautiful and pleasant. Definitely it's one of the best (probably the best one) location to rely on to visit Etosha.
