The hotel doesn’t supply shower caps, however there was soap, body lotion, shampoo, a small set of Q-tips/cotton wool, and two mini shoe shine sponges. Note that there is no tea or coffee in the room - this wasn’t a major problem for us, though. The pillows were rather uncomfortable and there were flannel under-sheets on our individual twin beds which meant we were very hot during the night. The manager explained that the DOUBLE beds have very nice high quality cotton under-sheets, but these sheets are too big for the SINGLE beds in a twin room. Hopefully this will change in the future. Bring a sleep mask if you are sensitive to light seeping in through the window blinds, as there are all-night exterior lights - or maybe it was just the case for our room which looked over the main entrance.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Heinitzburg castle and would definitely return. The staff were very pleasant and professional and the room was large and comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioning on the room. We loved the hotel terrace to have a drink and/or meal, all while contemplating the view over Windhoek or watching the sun go down in the evening. Breakfast on the hotel terrace, included in the price of the room, was lovely. We had dinner on the terrace too - it was excellent. The castle also has a pretty pool and surrounding gardens.

Facilities in the room need attention - fridge, coffee making machine, etc. Mirror on the ceiling - really tacky!

Excellent service from staff, always trying to make one comfortable.

The room was very clean and well proportioned. Unfortunately the AC is very weak so we were not able to cool it down during our 3 nights. Hence we did not manage to get a good nights sleep.

Beautiful historic hotel with fantastic views over Windhoek. Excellent service, drinks and great food. Very relaxing.

We had to move rooms as we had 2 nights stay with 1 booked by us and one by the tour company and they could accommodate the 2 nights in a room without us moving which was annoying

Was a gorgeous boutique style hotel and very little not to like

The breakfast could be better for a hotel of this kind, with more choices.

The rooms are quirky, well decorated furnished and very spacious. The staff was super friendly. The dinner was one of the best we had in Namibia. We had room service for our dinner and it felt like the restaurant was brought into our room, it was amazing! The view from the breakfast room is great.

    not a thing

History. Craftsmanship. Staff most of all. Leo’s is their onsite restaurant and the meal was quite remarkable. They have an extensive wine cellar and sell red wines from South Africa that are superb, well aged but not marked up like we see at home in California.
