The top bunk is very high up so I found it hard to get up and down. I felt that the dorm area was very claustrophobic. Space is tight. Wi-Fi wasn't great.

A nice hostel for 2 nights. Great location and a great vibe here where u can meet other people. Bed was comfortable. Yam the owner is very friendly. Drinking water available. Clean and tidy. I would have liked to have the bottom bunk but not available unfortunately. I just really can't do top bunks at 46 years of age😁... so absolutely no fault of the hostel, that's just me. Can I recommend a great place to eat??? Head down to the 1st avenue shopping mall and on the very top floor is a huge food hall with amazing food and super cheap with lots to choose from.

Really nice hotel in the heart of George Town. The staff is really nice and helpful. We stayed in a private room for 4 nights, it was okay even if there is not that much space.

The Hostel itself was nice, but the camera in the dorm and the light, which was all the time was kinda disturbing. Also there is no door between the bathroom and the dorm/the other dorm so you could always hear men`s disgusting noises in the morning :( sounds ridicilous but it was very loud! The owner is mostly gone, so if you need smtgh you have to contact him thru telephone, but he was available.

The Bed and the curtains were nice, there was a terrace to hang out and it was directly in the area with all the bars/restaurants and close to all the sightseeing things!

Very noisy with people walking around and talking until 2am, we had a loud snorer next door too. Surprisingly we slept really well though. The WiFi was very weak.

Lovely family, especially the lady is so kind and helpful. The location was perfect for walking everywhere, right in the old town with restaurants really near. You can walk from the ferry terminal too, only 15 mins. Water refill. Hot showers.

The bathrooms could have been cleaner. Like in many hostels in Malaysia the shower is right next to the toilet so the whole bathroom (including the toilet seat) stays wet throughout the day and sometimes gets smelly. We stayed here for 3 nights and a lot of the time 1-2 of the 3 bathrooms were completely missing toilet paper. The whole place is also filled with random items, many of which seem like things previous guests have forgotten and no one has bothered to clean up. It wasn’t a problem to us really but just makes the whole place look quite messy, we understood that the reception area had decorations etc. but especially the bathroom area was filled with unnecessary things and looked a little dirty. Overall I think these issues are pretty small considering the price is reasonable but we have stayed in better accommodation in Malaysia for cheaper, too.

The location is excellent. The wifi worked well, we both study and work online and didn’t have issues with the connection. Our dorm was quieter than we expected and the beds were comfortable. AC was good too.

The owner was very friendly. A really great location and bargain for money. The rooms were small and cluttered as there was only a small walkway which was also where we had to store our bags. There was also a very damp smell in the building which lingered on our clothes. I'd recommend opening up the doors to the dorms on a daily basis to allow for them to air out and freshen up the room. The sheets also did not fit the beds properly which was quite uncomfortable to sleep in and we had to request a cover for our duvet. However the owner did his best to resolve these issues in a very helpful and positive manner when we mentioned them to him. Overall I'd recommend to stay here as it was good value for money and if you're travelling then you won't be spending too long in the room so the smell won't effect you 😉

As often here, the showers are above the toilets which are constantly wet. Unfortunately guests don't always respect other people's sleep, despite hostel notes asking for quiet in dorms. The luggages are just put on the floor in the corridor of the dorm so little space to access it.

I really liked the beds in individual niches to have some privacy. The mattress is large and comfy, there are hooks and a towel rack, an electrical outlet and an extra lamp. Air conditioning in the dorms but not too cold, just good temperature! There is toilet paper and also hooks and towel racks in the showers. The establishment is well located, in a quiet street close to the city center.
