    Absolutely nothing

Beautiful resort, amazing food- especially the breakfast buffet, but mostly the staff. Azram and his staff at Splash pool bar were fabulous- always helpful, attentive and polite. Exceptional service at Breeze bar, Taste and Tide restaurants and front Desk and concierge staff.

We ate in the bar by reception. Staff were not efficient and the food was inferior for the price. However, food and staff and everywhere else were exceptional.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. So peaceful. We had a partial sea view and loved sitting on the balcony in the morning watching the ferries and monkeys in the tree and listening to the birds. The pool was amazing.

The room was nice but smelt of sewage and the wardrobe door wouldn’t shut leaving a light on all night. We had to put a chair in front of it to keep it shut. Overall a good stay.

Lovely stay at the Westin the highlights were the food, drinks and evening entertainment with Claire and her brother. Excellent singers and they welcome guests like they know you. We came back every night to watch them. Also the bar staff were very good and made us delicious G&T and Margaritas every night. I wish I had the one guys name as he served us every night and was lovely.

The hallway/ wing we stayed on was under instructions so it was very cumbersome to get to the reception and move around using lifts and stairs. I'm sure when this is completed it should be easier to move around the resort. The boat house charged for water activities such as kayaks , in other countries I've visited with similar luxury resort setups these are usually free. The gift shop that said open never once had someone manning it and the door was always locked despite me asking staff about seeing goods for sale and their response that there should be someone there. It is located on the east side of the island. If you're looking to explore Langkawi most attractions are on the west or north so expect to pay for transport with a 40 minute ride to get round.

Breakfast was very good. There are two pools, one more for kids. The hotel is also connected to St Regis hotel so easy to get a hotel golf cart to drive you as we ate at Kayaputi on one night which was 11/10. The bed is so comfy and the room was very spacious.

There were guests smoking onsite at the beach, with the smoke drifting and can be smelled at other parts of the resort. The service at Tide was not great, with our reservation not written down, drinks order needed to be chased up, and side dish of wilted spinach was way too salty.

Good variety of food offered at breakfast buffet, efficient monitoring and turning over tables for such a large resort. Decent size rooms. Helpful and efficient cleaning staff and reception staff.

No fan in the bathroom. That was the only thing

This place had everything, staff to book all your events around the island; a driver to get you there. The most amazing part was the bespoke tailor who would craft you a suit for cheaper than I can buy off the shelves. There was nothing about this place that wasn't amazing.

The Westin Hotel boasts a beachfront location, although the beach itself may not offer the ideal experience due to the presence of small shells that can be uncomfortable to walk on, reminiscent of broken glass. However, the hotel compensates for this by providing three exceptional swimming pools that offer guests an excellent alternative for aquatic relaxation and enjoyment.

The Westin Hotel offers a captivating ambiance, surrounded by lush greenery on one side and a picturesque beachfront. The staff's hospitality is exemplary, ensuring guests feel genuinely relaxed and indulged throughout their stay. Our room, though not directly facing the sea, still provided a delightful view, shielded from the noise of the pool area. Service and housekeeping were commendably swift, promptly attending to our room and replenishing water bottles multiple times a day. The breakfast spread was exceptional, featuring a diverse array of cuisines including Malaysian, Japanese, Indian, and Continental, rendering the need for lunch outings unnecessary. While Langkawi may not offer extensive shopping or leisure options, the hotel compensates by offering a variety of entertainment choices such as live music, water yoga classes, and activities catering to children's interests. Although slightly removed from the central hub, the hotel is conveniently situated within an 8 to 10-minute walk from Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall and Kuah Pier, where guests can explore dining options including the highly recommended NJoy Thai Food café for reasonably priced, excellent Thai cuisine. Additionally, the Black Pearl Massage at the pier provides a worthwhile relaxation experience.

The two times we had dinner wasn't as great as our expectations or the price that was charged. The fixtures could be in need of some repair (esp the bath tub) and it does look a bit worse for wear around the resort. We were also disappointed that the information given to us by the staff on the 'dine and save' promotion was inaccurate, we were told on our last night that we could always top it up the next day, but we were then told on our last day that they were unable to do so, so we ended up spending more than we should have.

Breakfast was decently good, with a wide range. Some of the food could become cold perhaps because there wasn't a lot of people and much of the food would have been pre-cooked. Staff was very friendly and helpful, very responsive. The views around the resort were absolutely stunning. The Spa was amazing, one of the best that I've ever been to. The room was big, had an excellent view (partially blocked but we expected that from the description already), water pressure, temperature and air-con were very good.
