I expected better breakfast from a 4* hotel

Location was perfect! Easy to reach old city but also the city center. Close to a very nice park and a mall. You can tell is newly renovated and also very clean. We choose the suite room which was big enough but because it's up to the top floor and the roof is pitched there were windows only on the ceiling. You could not have a look outside. Some people may not like this and it's something good to know

Bar only served coffee on the evening of my stay, but I did not intend to use it anyway.

Greeted professionally by staff on arrival, easy check in. Ran into 4 other staff during my stay - all were super polite and courteous. My room came with an amazing walk-in shower. Top marks for breakfast buffet; omelette, bacon, tiny pastries, all were scrumptious.

Had to leave before 5h AM to catch a flight and the door was locked. Could not get out!! I had asked the day before, receptionnist told me there would be someone there all night. When I was ready to leave, nobody there, you need to call a number. No answer. it was my Bolt driver who rang the doorbell before finally someone showed up to let me out. What if there had been an emergency?!? For this sole reason I would not stay there again.

The breakfast was plentiful but poor! The eggs were warm ,congealed & tasteless. The bread lacked taste. Less is more! The fresh fruit was good. The breakfast room lacked any atmosphere!

Nothing was misleading on the website about facilities, but the spa part of the hotel sign and name seems to be gone, would have been an excellent bonus if still there too.

Location is very convenient to walk into town, really close to bus and train stations for transport. Staff were super helpful and spoke excellent english. Breakfast buffet had a good range and could easily fill for the day. Very clean room, comfy, good size rooms for period hotel in prime location.

Pillows were too big and soft for our taste, but that's 1st world problems :)

I've read that it's possible to get a room with a bath and that's what I did. Location is superb if you come to Riga by bus. Staff was very polite, rooms were clean.

They switched the heating system off as soon as the temperatures rose which meant the rooms were cold in the morning. You have to shut the windows at night due to the noise from the busy roads and without any air conditioning the rooms can get stuffy. There were no bowls to have cereal, you had to use a glass which was odd. Few vegan options except kiwi fruit and lactose-free cheese so this could be improved. No access to spa - still being refurbished apparently.

Great location and a short walk to town. Close to bus and train links too. Excellent staff - very helpful and friendly and went out of their way for us. Good breakfast with cereals, cold meat and cooked food. Very clean and tidy. Would stay again.

Guests should be aware that the rooms on the fifth floor are attic rooms, with skylights rather than windows. This tends to make them a little dark. This was not an issue for me, but could be for some.

Excellent service in a very comfortable hotel. The location is ideal, close to.transport, and within walking distance of all attractions. My room had all facilities, including the walk in shower I requested. I especially want to commend Ilze, the staff member who looked after me at breakfast. Her delightful smile lit up the room. She responded to everyone's requests promptly and efficiently.

We asked for vegan breakfast and there was no soy milk which was sort of promised in letter exchange. No dairy free spreads for sandwiches.

I liked the room! The bed was comfortable, the air was good. Despite busy traffic on the street, the room is quiet. The planning is nice.

The hotel provides outstanding service, with daily housekeeping during my 3-night stay. The staff is friendly and polite. However, I encountered issues with the slow internet connection in the room and wood dust on the bed linens from the aging wooden ceiling frame. Additionally, I suggest implementing a daily rotation of the breakfast menu to provide varied options, as I noticed the same menu being served on two out of the three mornings.

I loved EVERYTHING- - big rooms, with desk, multiple side tables, couch chairs... - lovely elegant style - Super clean (first in a while I did not feel need to put on my shoes flip flop) - great wifi (needed it for work one day) - Super attentive staff!, While I normally want to return to my apartment leaving this hotel made a difference and I felt sad to leave

Location is very central, nice Places to visit are about a block away. Hotel was very clean and staff exceptionaly friendly. Fridge in the room.
