How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was really nice, people working there were nice and extremely helpful, bed was comfy and the location of the hotel was perfect for my needs. The internet connection was very good.

Can be noisy if the room next door is occupied.
It is a very nice hotel in a quiet woody area, close to the sea, nice hiking and running, close to the station. Friendly stuff, clean and comfy rooms, I will come again.

Breakfadt coffee could be better.
Room was exceptionally clean. Very friendly staff. Great place to stay with children - there are several spots for them to play.

Location - far from the pedestrian street and stores. Few parking spaces. Soundproofing in the rooms is not perfect, but not too bad. From neighboring houses you can see what's going on in the yard and on the balconies.
This hotel is great for families with kids! On the first floor there is a playroom combined with a small kitchen and dining room. You can dine in peace while the children play. There is also access to the courtyard, but we were in winter and it was closed. I think it is even better in the summer. Great breakfasts! Very tasty, varied and unusual. For breakfast you can eat not only the "standard" set of eggs, sausage, porridge, etc., but also crab salad and borscht, which I am delighted. And also, in the dining room, there is a children's corner! Personally, I enjoyed the architecture and interior of the building. I believe that the hotel has recently undergone renovation. Rooms are clean, cozy, with excellent balсons. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Pleasantly pleased with the additional shelf with hangers for things in the room, as well as an electric kettle and two sets of tea with sugar. Despite the fact that our room was the outermost, it was warm, with two adjustable radiators. And also, very pleasant staff!

Room was clean and tidy, bed was wide and comfy. Got the room like in the pictures everything was new, also had the balcony and you could dry your clothes there which was a good bonus. Parking was free, there didn’t seem to be many places but we got a spot so had no problem with that also, staff was very friendly.

The hotel is located very close to the railway station and then you can easily reach Riga. And you can walk to the beach within 10 minutes.

The cleaning could have been slightly better. On arrival day we found a damp and dirty floor bath rug and an empty sugar packet in the main room under the curtain; the mirror by the main door was slightly spotted.
Breakfast is amazing. The location is very good, complete silence at night is enchanting. Very nice service and staff overall.

The hotel is in a very quiet area but only a few minutes walk from the beach. Although it's quite far from the main centre of Jurmala and the restaurants, shops etc. there is a regular bus service from the end of the road and it only costs 50 cents! The breakfast was pretty good and the room, although small, was very comfortable.

Rooms were a bit small, but still nice, with a balcony, so absolutely no problem, if you don't spend the whole day there.
