We also chose to have dinner in the restaurant. The food was hood however the snacks that were brought before the meal along with really tasty bread were awfull cheese and ham form supermarket. The dishes we ordered were tasty but nothing exceptional.

The hotel was something you do not expect in a remote town. Really a fantastic, and stylish place. We had breakfast, and it was really good, too.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive, and professional. Gave clear instructions as to how keys were to be left upon leaving. The hotel itself had a warm and charming atmosphere and was well furnished. The beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel had well thoughtout decor, and a good playlist of music in the common areas. Really well put together. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Aluksne. 10/10 The restaurant within the hotel was beautifully decorated. The tables were well dressed, and the food was delicious. Service was top notch! Value for your money spent is well worth it! I found the rooms to be quite affordable. The accomodations were wonderful.

The curtains in the room with windows on two sides were not blocking out the sunlight. I am quite sensitive to light and found it difficult to "sleep in".

Tasteful design, comfortable (soft) bed with good pillows, modern bathroom, delicious breakfast... Coffee and tea is available all the time free of charge. While the hotel was fully booked the first night, it still didn't feel overcrowded or noisy. The second night I was the only guest and took advantage of the comfortable chairs in the common rooms. The next morning I was still greeted with a full English breakfast. For two people the bedroom might have been quite small, but for one person it was great. Coming from the narrow gauge train, the location was very good. Alūksne centre is a twenty minutes walk away.

There is a little place for improvement though: water in the shower is rather cold than hot. Towels are pretty small. As there is no restaurant or cafe in the hotel, I might suggest to keep some minibar of snacks somewhere. Also staff could be a little more engaging, at least explain where everything is when checking in or out.

The property was easy to find, there was a parking space just out front. The staff was very friendly. The rooms themselves looked just as they were in the pictures. Breakfast was very tasty. Overall a good price for a wonderful stay.

The room was on the small side, but it was very nicely decorated and comfortable, so we were quite satisfied. Breakfast was good, but could use some improvement. There is a cold buffet and they serve English breakfast, which I'm not a fan of, so they offered pancakes, which was quite nice of them to do. The pancakes were great, but I had them both mornings. It would be nice to have some other choices for the hot items - omelet, scrambled eggs, for example.

The location of this hotel is great - in the center, right across the street from the narrow gauge railroad. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, inside and out, and the room was nicely decorated. Large bathroom with great towels and toiletries! Really quiet. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor terrace, but it looked amazing. Will take advantage of this next time for sure!
