How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Clean room and bathroom Great location near the main town area. Stunning view from the room. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Simple hotel with A/C and breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff who deserved 10 instead of other points. Staff made all difference to serve you with the best service as they can do. The price we paid, met our expectations The room was also clean and rather spacious for us. We strongly recommend, a valued place in Vang Vieng

Top floor in burning season was a bit hot, A/C needed more time to make the room cool
My decision to stay there was a good choice. They had everything you needed for few day in town with really friendly host and good breakfast The room was clean and tidy, but a bit small. We just needed a quiet place to sleep so it was totally fine.

Idyllic location with magnificent view of mountains. Large rooms which appeared nice and well furnished. Cleaned daily on requests. Breakfast basic but adequate and served on the 1st floor. Hosts speak pretty good english.

There was a cable TV but it did not work during our stay, no signal to watch
This is a great choice for Vang Vieng. The room was clean with reasonable size, basic facilities. The shower was good with hot water. I liked that there were plenty of power sockets .The breakfast was made to order eggs, bread, fruit & coffee and really tasty. The view from my window (upper floor) was amazing, nice with mountain views. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There is a fridge in the room. Overall I would recommend this property.

Gorgeous location in town Friendly staff who always help you immediately with their possibility. Peaceful and safe hotel, all staff are family members. The place was clean and spacious. Breakfast was also good.

The friendliest staff we have ever met so far. They were helpful and caring, make sure we had everything we needed in their effort. We were happy and felt safe with this attitude. The room was also clean, and bathroom had a good shower. Would definitely come back.

Our room was clean, had a fridge, comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. He provided us with great tips for local restaurants, rent a scooter for us. The place itself is also very quiet which is charming and so cozy. Breakfast was also tasty, even not much. Definitely recommend.

It is easy access to the nearby restaurants. Very friendly staff and easy-going host The room was clean and comfortable with mountain view. A family hotel in town, small and cozy where we can reserve some daily tours with great quality and good price. They respond our requests quickly.
