How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bed can be better as it is squeaky and noisy when you turn around.
Location is good, close to the night market, convenient stores, cafes etc. Clean and nice breakfast.

The room was on the small side.
The room was clean and pleasant. The reception staff were very helpful. The breakfast was nice. The location was great being close to the river and the night market

a little old, and can be better maintained. walls are thin…
staff were very thoughtful and its located walking distance from many eateries. you can have transport to different parts of laos arranged with the hotel. also there’s a smart tv so you can watch anything!

The wall was quite thin, we can hear the conversation from the room next to us.
- We really like the location. The hotel is in the heart of Vientiane city center and there're plenty of cafe, restaurants, massage shops. The riverside night market is just nearby. - The room was nice and clean. The maid team came to clean up everyday during our stay. - We appreciate the front desk staffs, they're really helpful and always smiling. -- very nice hospitality! - The wifi was good, I can do some work (video calls) during the stay.

The property was super comfortable, had the best night sleep in a long time here. The location was great, close to places to eat and the night market. Overall the it’s a very quiet spot with not loads to do but I think that’s anywhere in the area.

Staff didn't seem to understand that they are working in the hospitality industry. Indifferent and not very responsive. Hotel was VERY spread out and we had to walk over an extremely foul canal (basically an open sewer) by bridge to get to our room. Pool closed VERY early (about 7 pm I think).
Very nice hotel, located at the quiet end of the walking street.

Rooms badly sound proofed. We could hear all street noise, every word and the loud talking and music playing of our impolite neighbours Poor breakfast No storage tray in the bathroom and a place to hang towels

1) The FX rate for pure cash exchange is reasonable. But when you pay US$ for yr room rate and get back Laos Kip for the loose changes, the exchange rate by the hotel was terrible. Pay exact cash US$ if you must. 2) Room size is small. 3) No windows.
Location near night market. Clean and Comfortable. Wifi strong. Very good breakfast. Mixture of local and international flavours but limited choices.

Very nice and comfortable stay. Breakfast was great. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Night markets right across the road. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Not a lot of counter space in the washroom. Fridge was not cold, room temp at most.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient to local shops and resturants. Room was clean and AC worked well. Toiletries were present. No iron in room or board. But you can ask to borrow an iron if needed. Food provided was decent.

House keeping was usually completed towards the late afternoon, and I usually ran out of toilet paper by then. Other than that it was great.
I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast, but the location made up for it as there’s plenty options nearby. The staff was great.

room is a little tad too small. but not not a problem at all.
the location is super. it is near to all the attractions we want to visit: the night market, food night market, all the wats, and it is also near to cafe and restaurants. hotel is still rather new. It is clean and feel modern.

Late communication as regards train tickets, booked 2 days before leaving at.a certain time. Told on the morning of departure no space on that train. We had a five hour delay. Should have been informed earlier
