Slow Internet. Access to pool is difficult for people with mobility issues.

Very attentive and helpful staff . Very spacious suite, wonderfully decorated . The public areas are beautifully decorated with woven kelims. and antique items creating a warm old worldly atmosphere. Good breakfast.

The room had a window into the bathroom that couldn't really be blocked. Just needs a better option to shut that blind.

I thought the breakfast was confusing (what's included or not in the price). The coffee wasn't great and could / should have been prepared better (by a barista). The rooftop bar has so much potential but I feel wasted because of the layout.

I like the design and the choice of furnishings.

My whole experience of this hotel from the arranging of airport transfers prior to my stay and also arranging my train tickets to Luang Prabang was excellent. Within an hour of my flight landing in Vientiane I was sitting by the rooftop pool drinking a beer - what more could you ask for. I would definitely recommend this hotel and come back too stay again.

The interior was very beautiful decorated, eye for details. The room had a traditional key which I found charming. The location is excellent in the middle of the center and quiet for sleeping.

We enjoy the property and amenities! Thank you Zack for the upgrade to the Poet Suite! We love the interior design and space! The only thing they charged at the property restaurants & bar in dollars directly which we found interesting. We always pay in local currency when we travel and the conversion is done at the time of the transaction. The breakfast was amazing it was a la carte and it was included in the room. I would recommend to include your breakfast on your booking. The breakfast option we love! Our favorites were the Lao omelet and fresh fruits! I will say the cappuccino was very good! The best I have tried in Asia so far! We liked the location and the food options nearby. Especially, the fruit heaven shop in the right corner exiting the hotel! I would recommend downloading the local app-It safe the days for transportation! It works like Uber and does not need to negotiate prices and they are very comfortable. Mostly they are electric cars!

I think having a sun umbrella or some shade near the pool would be great, and maybe a different breakfast card for the weekend (but this is just because we booked a full week here). There wasn't that many places to plug electronic stuff in in our room.

The pool is great, the staff are really friendly and helpful. I like the way they do the breakfast, too. It is also really close to so many different restaurants, but in a small street which makes it nice and quiet.

Very beautiful hotel, spacious room and well decorated. Everything you need is there (shower gel, shampoo, fresh towels, water etc). Very nice pool on the roof and excellent breakfast. The coffee is very good as well. Great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The shower and bath have warm water that never gets hot.

My favorite hotel in Vientiane. It has a cool vibe, nice decor, good breakfast, a pool, and a rooftop bar. But the best thing about Lao Poet is the service - truly top-tier customer service. I've stayed here twice now, and it's going to be my go-to spot to stay in Vientiane. Plus, it's in a great location near Noy's Fruit Heaven.
