How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room was great, air con a tiny but loud but with earplugs we couldn’t hear it.
We loved our 6 night stay at La Nuit de Laos! It’s located down a beautiful leafy street, super peaceful but a 2 mins walk to the night market. The owner and the women who worked at the property were all so lovely and kind. Our room was cleaned every day, we were given fresh towels and we had our laundry done twice and both times we got it back the same day! The studio apartment was a great size, we cooked a few times and it was very comfortable. Also hired a scooter for a day and a cab to the airport was arranged for us by the hotel owner - great service! Thank you so much

The lighting in the room was a bit dim, making it difficult to read at night. The owner could add some more bulbs with white light or table lamps/bed lamps and it is solved. Water pressure is not the strongest but I guess it's normal in Luang Prabang.
One of the reasons I selected La nuit de Laos was I could pay at the hotel (as I never trust the information security system of Bookingdotcom). It turned out that I have had an excellent stay here. Ms. Hien, the Vietnamese hostess is very friendly, kind and helpful in fulfilling our needs, answering all the questions and arranging everything during our trip. I felt welcome from the first step into the hotel when the room is ready and checking in as quick as a wink. The location of the hotel is off the noisy areas of the night market but still in walking distance to every place. Room is big, with a huge bed, a sofa bed, a big fridge and even an iron, which is rarely to see in other hotels. It is more like a studio than a hotel room. Bed and pillows are comfy, room is filled with a lot of natural light, which compensates for dim light at night. I also love the front yard with tables and chairs for relaxing, tea and coffee are free, and you can refill your water at the water purifier in the yard at any time.

It felt like we are at home! Clean and spacious rooms with a nice terrace. The host is amazing, very friendly and helpful. Located 2 minutes walk to the night market and close to all attractions!

Nothing to dislike, it has been a perfect stay.
Absolutely stunning guesthouse! So spacious, almost like a studio apartment with a kitchen and bathroom. It’s clean, well styled and fresh. It is modern and feels very safe. The staff are lovely and really helpful. They even greet you with fresh fruit juice! All essentials work well, air con, iron, hair dryer, tv! Lovely toiletries and shower is amazing. We have been travelling for 2 months now and this is the nicest place we have stayed.

Great boutiqe hotel in Luang Prabang, clean, nice cozy room, best hospitality. Basically the room service will help everything you need during your stay, inc money changer, rent a car, everything! Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. 👍

If the bathroom partition is made longer or covered with a nylon curtain, water will not splash around. If the face towel is changed to white, it will feel cleaner than the current gray towel.
The hotel owner is very kind, extremely enthusiastic, and incredibly helpful, making me feel right at home. She provided enthusiastic directions to places to visit, eat, and drink, and assisted in booking sightseeing tours and taxis. When we were running late for a tour, she tirelessly searched in many places to find us. Breakfast here is not only very delicious but also affordable. My mother kept regretting not dining here sooner and waiting until the day she returned home to eat. The hotel's location is a significant plus point, being very close and convenient to attractions.

La Nuit de Laos is a great place to stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was tasty with nice options, and the location on a quiet street very close to the Night Market could hardly be better. But above all the staff is FANTASTIC, they could not be more gracious and helpful.

Very good hotel, probably the best hotel we had in Laos.Location is very good, close to everything interesting and important in Luang Pabang. Rooms are big with big bathroom. Breakfast is excelent, good choice of food. The woman, who ran the hotel, Sony, speaks very good English and is very kind and helpful, helped us in everything , we needed. We felt at the end of the day, like coming back home. Recomend this place to anybody, coming to Luang Prabang.
