Unfortunately the air con unite in our room started leaking in the middle of the night which kept us up. The staff did resolve this which we appreciated the next day.

The property was in a great location, only a ten minute walk to the night market. It was very pretty especially at night, offered a good range at breakfast and even packed us a breakfast to take on our excursion. Phet was accommodating and went out of his way to make sure everything was top notch.

One of the managers/receptionists had much better customer service than the other.

The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed was soft and the most comfy we had in Laos. I also loved the bathroom, which had good shower pressure and again was very clean. The breakfast was delicious (we had the bread and eggs, and the French bread was so fresh and tasty). The location was good, as it was just a 10 minute walk to the main part of town. The building was beautiful with traditional wood floors and nice decor.

Beautiful property decorated with a designers eye. Quality fixtures and fittings (especially loved the shower). Amazing breakfast. Sorry walk or cheap tuk tuk into the heart of town. The staff are exceptional too. Highly recommend

The only thing that could have make our stay even better would have been a fridge in the room. And it would have been absolutely more than perfect if they would have a pool. Maybe in the future 😉 Thanks for a great stay Leo!

Absolutely lovely!!! We loved every second of our stay here. We were looking for a place to take a step back and relax and have a good night sleep after a couple of rough days. The rooms here are the most comfortable we’ve had in all of Asia. Beds are of European quality, linen is so nice as are the pillows. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms is very spacious with great working shower, perfect pressure and temperature. Aircon worked perfect and room was equipped with a smart tv so we could chill and watch some netflix as well :) (we stayed in the garden view suite). The breakfast is a la carte and very delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Leo (Dutch owner) is friendly and in for a nice chat (but also keeps a professional distance). Location is out of the hustle and bustle but still perfect walking distance to everything. 10/10 would recommend!

Only suggestion would be to have bikes at the property for guests to rent / use during the stay. It’s about a 10 min walk to the beginning of the night market but once you walk the whole historic district area it’s a bit of a long walk back and a bike would’ve been great on one or two of the days.

I got to stay twice in Fides Boutique Hotel while in Luang Prabang and had the chance to see some of the rooms. The hotel is pratically new, just a few months old, sparkling clean, decorated with taste and attention to detail. The breakfast à la carte was delicious and very filling. I loved the location as well: just a 10-min nice walk away from the hubbub of the center with the countless groups of visitors. And most importantly, when an issue arised with my room and I immediately reported it (a funny smell in the bathroom - and it is ok, these things can happen), the availability and commitment of the hosts and the staff to find a solution was remarkable and much appreciated. Everything is excellent. To arrive with the right expectations, one should keep in mind that as mentioned, this is an old building and from what we understood the local laws are very strict regarding alterations/renovations in order to preserve the character of the Even though restored, some things like thin walls, “imperfect” window seals etc exist but they are part of the charm and uniqueness of the building and one should be ready for it instead of expecting uniformity and standardization like in newly-built construction.

The property is lovely, an old colonial house beautifully renovated and transformed in a tasteful hotel. The bedding is ultimately comfortable, water pressure excellent and overall facilities well-made and beautiful. Breakfast delicious and freshly made and the greatest thing of all was the kind, attentive service and the personal touch from the owners and manager. We felt very welcome and taken care of.
