Nothing, everything was great.

The Lady of the accomodation was GREAT, very knowledge, helped with transport etc, good breakfast, you can use the kitchen and fridge, I felt very homey all the time, she can make laundry etc. There is two shops and a gym very near and many buses run in front of house. In big hotels everything is formal, but here you can see normal life and meet real person.

We enjoyed our stay in Karakol Yurt Lodge a lot. We spent more then a week in the area and came back several times. The rooms were always very clean and comfortable. Aygulu and her family were a very friendly hosts, who helped us out with planning our hiking trips, with storing our luggage finding the proper Mashrutka and organising a driver for our next destination as well.

Aigulu and her family were helpful and accommodating. She helped us arrange a last minute horse trek. We booked the yurt last minute (a few times) and it was prepared very quickly. Great location. It’s close to town and even closer to the main hostel in the town. There’s a nice bar catty corner to the place.

The host family are so friendly and welcoming! They helped us plan our Ala Kul hike and let us keep our bags there whilst we were away. Great location, next to a bar close to restaurants, 2 min walk from supermarket and 10 minute walk into the the centre. The house is still being built but this was not an issue. The kitchen, lounge and bedrooms were so modern and really comfortable!

Because of the reconstruction we stayed in a different yurt lodge - Nazira’s place at Lenin street. The location was great, yurt was very cozy and the breakfast was super nice with amazing homemade jams!! The family was very helpful and very nice.

Sometimes the street noise could intrude, and it's a tiny bit chilly in September (though the copious blankets solved this for the most part).

Breakfast was lovely, the yurt was comfortable, and the bathrooms excellent (with high quality toilet paper, even). An excellent location between mountains and the center, with a nice Terrace restaurant nearby, as well as a grocery store. Close also to Lighthouse Karakol and Ashlyan Fu Alley. The hosts also helped us arrange our trip to the next destination, with prices much, much more affordable than those quoted to us elsewhere (I speak Russian, so the language was not the issue). Very kind and friendly people.

The hosts made us feel welcomed from the first moment of entering and gave us hints/ recommendations for several restaurants as well as day trips. The breakfast was very tasty, everything was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Plus very good toilet paper (you will understand once you travel Kyrgyzstan). Altogether it was a great stay and we definitely want to come back, maybe even in winter for skiing when the yurts are up in the mountains.

Our stay here was even better than you could even imagine. The host went always the extra mile for us to meet all of our requests. We actually came back three times when we finished our treks in the mountains just because of how great the accommodation was. When you arrive, you can expect some tasty tea with sweets, which is the sweetest thing in the world after the whole day of travelling. The tea is served with some homemade strawberry jam (marmalade) which you will most certainly fall in love with. We even asked the host to make us some extra jam to take it home! Regarding the yurts, they were clean, the beds were comfy, and the bathrooms had cold/hot water any time during the day with great pressure. Also super clean! The host and her family were always there when we needed to ask them, and they were always extremely helpful - ordered us taxis, provided a lift, helping to make trek-relating decisions, ... I would most certainly recommend you to stay here and I promise, you'll be in love with the accommodation and host family as we were.
