Nothing….couldn’t find a fault if I tried!!

This family run hostel deserves 11 not a 10! The amenities, wifi, rooms, toilets, kitchen, showers, nearness to everything, serene location and especially the lovely, professional Janyl who speaks fluent English (and her adorable 2 daughters and equally lovely husband) were excellent….if you’re in Karakol I can’t emphasise the reasons you should stay here….thank you for your warm, genuine, kind and helpful demeanour….wont hesitate to return to your delightful hostel.

I am a repeat guest! I came in the summer during hiking season then returned for skiing season in the winter. Hostel Nice is such a chill hostel. Jen is the sweetest and so so helpful. She looked up things for me to do in Karakol in case I was bored. And she always helped me out - even coming with me to the store to rent snowshoes. Greatest and nicest staff!!! And best hostel in Karakol!!

Quiet and cosy hostel with a large kitchen and large, cool and airy common rooms. I stayed two days longer as it was such a relaxing atmosphere. Azun teaches English in winter and is very supportive and flexible. Many positive vibes there.

The hostel is far from the bus station if you’re walking.

The property is very clean and comfortable. There were bathrooms and showers, and it was clean. Jane is available at any time for assistance and information on what to do in and around Karakol.

Fantastic place. I kept coming back after each hike. Jan and her family are incredibly welcoming. The standard is very high and everything is very clean. It is certainly a social, but peaceful, hostel and I found it easy as a solo traveller to meet similar travellers and organise hikes together if needed. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and 24 shop nearby. All information you could need is available and English is fluent, which made travel/hikes inside and out of the region easy. You can even organise taxis, guest house/yurt directly and gear rental is close by. I'll return for all my future Karakol trips.

There is difficult to find hostels as excellents as this! Highly recommend it if you are going to stay in Karakol. The owner speaks perfectly english which makes her really helpful. She helped me planning the trip to Ala Kul lake and with other Karakol facilities. The place is quiet and near to a main park.

If you are in Karakol, go to this hostel - it is absolutely recommended! From the first moment the host welcomed us in her very friendly way. She spoke very good English and was always ready to answer our questions. She helped us plan the multi-day hike, assisted us with laundry, recommended a local festival (which was awesome) and helped all the guests organize their trips. The hostel itself was also great - always absolutely clean, a large kitchen that invites you to stay and eat with the other guests, and comfortable beds. Finally, the location is great. There is a great park just around the corner, a rental store for hiking equipment (tent, sleeping bag, etc.), various restaurants and stores and an excellent bubble tea store nearby. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, which is certainly due to the loving and caring nature of the host.

The owner was super friendly and helpful and she speaks really good english. She Made US feel very Welcomed and the place is very comfortable. The kitchen is big, Well equipped and super Clean. In General is the place very Clean. Nice hot showers and a living Room with TV and Netflix :)
