How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Nothing. Very perfect!
The owner of this B&B is very responsive. We were just having a very long road trip from Bishkek and got to Osh a bit late. He arranged everything so we could have a nice stay. - The room is big with two double beds. We feel so pampered here. - The bathroom is also very clean and big. - They also have a nice kitchen with various utensils. - There are some kids playing around the property which were keen to talk to you to practice their English. They're all very sweet to us.

No hairdryer and would have preferred a kettle in the room. Also no toiletteries except soap at the bathroom sink
The location was excellent for our reason for visiting Osh. The breakfast was delightful, and we would like to say special thanks to the wonderful lady who made the breakfast! Booking said the room had a hairdryer but it didn’t and one wasn’t available

Bathroom is outside the room, but it's okay.
Very spacious room for 4 of us. The owner let us choose the room, and we had one in the first(ground) floor. Breakfast is great.

The room was very comfortable with two big beds. The AC worked very well during our stay. The breakfast was very delicious. The owner speaks very good english and was very kind to us. We recommend this B&B.

I highly recommend Astoria to everyone. The place is nice clean and close to market. Mr Eybek (host) is amazing. He speaks very good English and so his son 😊

I had a very good stay in Astoria B&B. Oybek, the administrator is kind, welcoming and ready to help for everything. The breakfast is delicious. Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Very good service. I recommend without hesitation ! Thank you very much :)

The breakfast was great (like everywhere else in central asia). The son of the owner allways brought fresh bread for the breakfast everyday.

It is possible that you get a room that has no bathroom, and then you have to pass through other room to reach it, or if you are staying in that room, people could be passing through your room to the toilet. However, you have a separate bathroom and a toilet downstairs if you or the owner of the other room do not prefer to use that one. But everything was really great, this was the thing that did not bother us, but might be a problem to someone else.
This accomodation is great! The grandma owner is really sweet, her son is also very kind and his English is great so the communication was easy. It is a great, warm, atmosphere, with a lovely home made breakfast. I had a feeling that I was staying at my grandma’s house in countryside.

Not much privacy, we had a private bathroom, but had to go through another guests's room to reach ours. Quite far from the city centre.
Helpful owner spoke very good english. Situated in a quiet section of town. Near Lenin street with a few restaurants, a 24/7 supermarket and even a spot for some cold beers (near Suyumbaev street)

Only the hotel is little bit away from magazines and shops and the area is so calm
We were in hot summer and it was provided with Air conditioner, they have one room with external bathroom which has Jacuzzi

Clean, comfy and huge room. Yummy and generous breakfast. Laundry service. Great host with ideas and really good English. Good nearby restaurants and others services. Also rents and runs a Jeep and motorbike service which we did not use.

When all the rooms are occupied, the hotel can feel a bit small: the breakfast room is very small so you might need to wait for the previous group to finish. I think that with the shared bathroom it would have been quite a wait as well.
We were upgraded to a room with a private bathroom. Everything in the hotel is very clean, the room and bathroom are tidy and spacious. Oybek is friendly and gave us useful tips, his mother is kind. The breakfast is good and generous.
