Parking lot is limited. You better have to park for overnight stay because the hotel will charge for every 30 min if you just come for check in and go out. The bathroom has high step, not convenient for seniors.

What we didn't like is that since the A/C is centralized, the room becomes super hot and dry during this winter season, but we can't really control the temperature from within the room. The hotel comes with a washing and dryer on the second floor, however, I think they need to maintain the machine well, or else, we ended up with a smelly laundry at the end.

We like the location of the property, it is closed to the riverside and also walkable distance to Sakuramachi, Kumamoto Castle and some of major shopping street.

The bed was so hard that it was a little difficult to get comfortable for me. I prefer something a little softer

I would prefer coffee and tea sachets being made available rather than a coffee machine (having to use disposable cups) in the lobby; having to leave the key at reception (I didn't); the window in the room did not open - no fresh air possible; there were only 2 (clothes) hangers in the room; check out = 10...

The location (as the name suggests) is very nice - beside the river (I loved being able to see the shimmering water...) and a bridge and also very near to the city's new bus station (Kumamoto's train station is quite far - maybe a 25-minute walk away); I had a nice view from my room (I had asked for this); the room contained a sizeable fridge; the bathroom and -tub were spacious and this made for a comfortable bath; microwave available in a spacious guest chill-out area...

The hotel is old so the room smelled a bit musty and there weren’t enough outlets for charging my devices. It’s also a bit pricey for an old hotel.

The location is great. It’s quite close to the city center and the view of the river is great.

Rooms were very small and we were told that the room was upgraded so I don’t know what a smaller room would have been as we barely had any space. Laundry machines were terrible I had to run them 3-4 times until my clothes were dry but rest was okay and appreciable.

We liked that they gave us a corner room, most amenities and there’s a coin laundry on top, staff was cheerful and helpful!

I found some hair in the bathroom

The staff was very available, I wanted to spend one less night and they managed to change my booking quickly and I got a refund from booking. The room was huge with a nice smart tv and plenty of pillows on the bed.

I actually like everything but the bath was pretty high and deep, also the step up to the toilet room was high. It may not be much of a problem for others but I struggled with that due to my own personal issues. There's no parking on site but we were able to park briefly in front of the hotel for pick up and drop offs. There's no restaurant onside but there are local restaurants within reasonable walking distance. All in all, I would choose to visit this hotel again.

The entrance was beautiful and its located close to the Town Centre. The room was clean, nicely decorated with all the little perks you usually would not find in other hotels ie room fresheners and shoe polish. The staff were all polite and friendly. I was given fresh towels, robes, slippers, and tea and green tea daily. Coffee machine is in the lobby, hot and fresh but I would have liked to have the option to have some milk with it, nevertheless, it was excellent for visitors especially.

Where do I start! Got our booking mixed up. Had to move rooms twice which meant leaving our luggage in the foyer and not having a room until 3pm for 2 days. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the rooms are like prison cells. Tiny and we paid extra for luxury double.

Nothing. We moved out after 2 days for a much more comfortable hotel across the road.
