Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi ArabiaThe room wasn’t really clean.. the covers smelled a bit and there was hair on the shower floor. The windows were tinted though it was with no view. Very different from last year where everything was amazing. It was ok in general but don’t think I will go back there again.
The location was very nice.

United KingdomBreakfast had almost none western options. It was very short on that.
Location is OK, but I would imagine not the best if you wanna go to the most touristic spots. Very easy to reach by public transport though. Super clean. Nice and friendly staff. A lot of amenities, they also have a public bath.

AustraliaHotels do not include english speaking television channels like channel 1 UK etc for relaxing viewing. There is CNN (USA) but with Japanese audio "overlap" American broadcast which is mind snapping.
Location close to Higobashi and Watanabebashi train station. Only 3 stations to Namba station and Dotonbori district. Breakfast good. Excellent dinner choice options like wagyu steak AUD$25 superb. Free shuttle bus to Osaka main train station. Train option to Kansai Airport reasonable AUD$12-13. Sumo wrestling and baseball all the rage on TV.

United StatesThe attached restaurant was very weird though, with lots of innards on the menu. We wanted a reservation at 8pm but they wouldn't let us make a reservation until 9pm. So when we got there we expected it to be packed, but it was completely empty. Why did we have to wait until 9 for an empty restaurant?
The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. The location was ok with a metro station nearby.

IrelandWe had breakfast included and ate at the restaurant for dinner one time. Breakfast has both Japanese and Continental options, but for my (vegan) taste could have included more tofu/beans/sweet potato dishes as I have seen in other hotels in Japan. The breakfast food was labelled for ingredients though and I really appreciated that. This hotel seems to have a meat/fish heavy menu though, because it was difficult to find dishes other than rice and some salads for dinner (which is the main reason we only ate there once). My husband, who eats everything, really enjoyed his dinner though and the staff was trying to accommodate my needs as best as they could. Toiletries can be picked up in the lobby - I wish the toothpaste could be packed separately from the toothbrush (more eco-friendly *wink)- it feels a waste to take a new one every day - as this is common in hotels unfortunately I always end up buying my own tube anyway (sigh).
The room was decently sized with a very nice view onto the river. The room was quiet and generally clean (some lone hair was missed.) The location is good, it's a quiet area, but public transport is a few minutes walk away, but this didn't really bother us. Osaka Station and shops is within easy walking distance and there are a few convenience stores/supermarkets in the area as well. The hotel has its own public bath, which I really enjoyed after a long day walking around. The hotel has cleaning options for only collecting trash/providing new towels to be more eco-friendly.

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff is very helpful and kind. The hotel has a very pleasant smell. The room has everything you need: kettle, refrigerator, slippers. Necessities (a toothbrush, for example) can be borrowed from the hotel lobby. I really liked the onsen at the hotel. I enjoyed to stay here.
