There are some parts of the room that needs maintenance for example the kitchen, the doors and the bathroom sink was not working very well It seems to be a little old

Could of been a bit cleaner (cobwebs and dust in the corners) There wasn't any communication between the host and the actual site owners. Sockets were hanging off and sparked when attempted to use Please get a new ironing board!!

The pool was closed until 9am. I wanted an early morning swim before the crowd and the sun's heat intensified. The maintenance guy was adamant that it won't be open until such time which was disheartening especially considering that the beach doesn't open very early either.

The room was comfortable and nice. The promixity to everywhere is a plus.

On arrival to the property, we had to wait for the hostess to arrive to let us in. She telephoned the owner of the property, who then insisted on cash payment, claiming that his card machine was not functioning. He was very apologetic, but in other reviews, I see where this had happened before. This was very inconvenient for me as I had to go immediately with the hostess to find a cash machine so that she could collect payment. It also felt a bit dangerous to be withdrawing that much cash in the middle of town and then handing it over. I also had not banked on paying with cash up front and was going to use my credit card, so i was left inconvenienced, being unsure whether I would have enough money to pay and then conduct my business. It would have been so much better if honest communication was done prior to arrival so that I would have been prepared to pay cash.

Great location, close to shops and amenities. Apartment fitted with air conditioning and water heater for the shower. The hostess was pleasant and helpful. Provided parking for guests. WiFi available.

Excellent prime prime location! Everything was extremely close. Groceries, supermarkets, the beach. Everything! The Wifi was excellent. The pool on the property was clean and with lifeguard at all times. Free access to the Ocho Rios beach was an added bonus. The smart tv really helped kids wind down every night. ​Great place. Will stay again

It seems that the sockets in the bedroom don't work - or I just missed a switch somewhere? There is a rather noisy power plant close to the apartment's bedroom windows and it was on throughout the second night and day. I could sleep anyway but it was a bit disturbing. It was not on when I arrived so I am guessing there were problems with the main power line due to the heavy rainfall during those days.

The apartment is situated in a kind of resort: several different blocks with apartments with a common entrance, parking lot and reception. The apartments are owned individually and rented out by their respective owners. For check-in I needed to register at reception where I was given a wrist band (which gives you access to the beach right behind the resort) and then meet up with Dorothy, the housekeeper, for the key. Despite not annoucing it beforehand, I was allowed into the apartment a bit earlier which was very kind! The apartment is on the ground flour, it is nicely spaced and furnished and has a patio. All windows are secured and equipped with moskito nets. The bed is big and comfortable, there are lots of towels and everything is very clean.

I didn't get any hot water after the first night but realized that we accidentally turned off the hot water switch. I would recommend labeling the switches as there are multiple and may cause confusion.

The room was very clean, cool and comfy. The surrounding was clean. The pool was very warm and lovely. Dorothy who was in charge of my room was very nice, friendly and very welcoming. I will recommend sandcastles resort any time.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. FROM THE TIME I ARRIVED ON THE PROPERTY. I WAS BEING PREYED UPON. I WAS CONSTANTLY STALKED BY INTRUDERS OFFERING ME DRUGS TO BUY. I WAS BEING FOLLOWED AROUND CONSTANTLY WHEN I REALISED I WAS BEING TARGETED, I WENT TO MY ROOM AND DIDNT COME BACK OUTSIDE. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT I HEARD NOISE COMING FROM THE WINDOWS INTRUDERS WAS TRYING TO COME IN ON US. THERE WERE NO SECURITY INSIGHT. I TEXT HOST NO REPLY I RANG THE HOST'S CONTACT SEVERAL TIMES IT TOOK ALMOST AN HOUR BEFORE ANYONE ARRIVED TO CHECK ON US. THE HOST HAS THE AUDACITY TO SAY THERE IS CCTV, ON PROPERTY THIS IS NOT TRUE . TRYING TO MAKE OUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE NO ONE WAS BURGLARING THE APARTMENT. I SAW OTHER REVIEWS SAYING EXACTLY THE SAME THING. THE APARTMENT IS ON THE GROUND FLOOR WHICH MAKES IT AN EASY ACCESS FOR THEIVES .I LEFT THE PROPERTY FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE. 😕

There was nothing that I like about this property as your safety is not paramount. The staffs are friends with these hustlers and giggaloos

Super noisy every night due to loud music from night club next door. Cannot sleep until 2:30am (we stayed 3 nights). Lot of bass and loud music. Don’t expect to sleep or relax.. no coffee machine (see pictures)

Paid twice for accommodation host kept saying they would reimburse me when they see the amount hit their account, but my bank confirms they received the money. No reimbursement received from host yet. Party area music most nights hard to sleep.
