This is a very cozy place with a homey feel. It was comfortable and had every little thing you needed. The host was very kind and communicated well. The bed took over our souls when we laid on it! So comfy, great quality bedding that felt great on the skin. This area is also very central to anything you could need to enrich your stay. The doggies next door are adorable and cute. The TV was easy to use and loaded with entertainment options. The futon in the room was an added comfort.

The place is not a modern structure and could use some freshening up but that was really not a problem. It added to the character of the place.

The staff was courteous and check in was easy. My room was across the road from the main building and the security guard was always present to assist us with crossing the busy road. The room was of a decent size and we got our desired number of beds. Housekeeping was always prompt and they were very friendly and helpful. The pool was also satisfactory.

The complex is close to airport, about 5 minutes. Taxi from Booking .com was £14.00 each way. Possibly cheaper from other companies. Private beach was very nice Free water sports equipment Games room Sea water was wonderful and warm.

Food was very repetitive and could be improved with some international dishes such as spaghetti or seafood.. Entertainment tended to start a bit late and was very short in evenings 8pm -10pm, with music for 1st hour then a group or singer.. only one evening had the guests up to dance and enjoying themselves. We were staying 10 nights. Karaoke was dated software and not very well managed. Also only on for 1hr. Day time entertainer was very repetitive, using same jokes every day and he lacked effort. Quizzes were shouted out so not really competitive. No paper or pens used. Lacked planning and effort. If I hear him sing happy birthday one more time I would cut my wrists. Obsessed about finding a guest who might have a birthday. No wifi in room 229 despite repeated enquiries. Room had very old shower taps etc. Aircon was very good and on all day. Cleaners changed towels daily and sheets ocassionally. Floor seldom or never washed. Certain beach staff / entertainer would ask you to get them drinks or burgers. Outside beach wall, had a permanent guy trying to sell guests soft drugs and persistently asking for guests to bring him beer. Very irritating. No info in rooms about local visitor attractions and places of interest. Even shuttle bus details. Lack of air conditioning in hotel public areas and dining room was very oppressive. People would target you on walk to town to try and befriend, act as a guide, then seek tips. Very off putting as a guest. Didn't see bars or cafes on Hip Strip. Not sure why it's called that as its empty. Staff in the hotel were polite, but generally didn't smile or be very friendly. We enjoyed our stay, but felt that we had little opportunity to see Jamaica, as excursions were expensive and reviews voiced lots of issues. Local council needs to bring area to life if it wants tourists spending money outside all inclusive hotels. Disapointed in the area.

We needed more variety with food..it was quite mid/average. Some of the staff were nice and friendly. Some were not. The only consistently good thing was the nightly entertainment. The karaoke dj lady was amazing.

I didn't like the fact that I couldn't get any cash from the surrounding ATMs ( they were not working) so I ended being stuck because I ran out of cash and there was no way for me to withdraw any in the area. I had to leave for that reason, such a shame as I wanted to stay and support the local businesses. Make sure you have enough cash for the length of your stay as not all businesses take cards, and ATMs aren't guaranteed to work.
