I didn't read the room description properly and didn't realise that is was so small you can't walk around the bed. There are cottages that are bigger. The regular staff was nice and helpful with information but the person handling the reception was a newbie and really clueless. There was a ooster next door singing at any hour of the night. I would go again but take a cottage.

The grounds are beautiful with trees and plants everywhere. The pool surrounded by tables and transat chairs was very welcome. There is an outfoor lounge with couches, fans and a tv. It can be overrun with mosquitoes however. There is also a kitchen and you can leave your food in the fridge. Location is right across Rick's café and very near LTU and Ivan's. It's possible to walk to a few jerk centers and convenience stores but walking is not so fun because there are no sidewalks.

Great spot! Cool and cozy place to stay with good vibes. The pool is amazing. We really enjoyed staying in one of the small private houses. They are very well equipped and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff :)

Really cool vibes, clean, comfortable, helpful staff and excellent facilities. We stayed in a hut but if you stay at the hostel there is a communal area with chill out area, games and kitchen + eating area. The whole place is super well looked after, there is a small pool and loads of trees and plants that give it a very tropical vibe.

It's not a beach swimming area. You have to hire a car to get to 7 Mile beach.

The plant life on the property was lush and I loved having the pool. Everything you need is right there and route taxis are easy to grab. I was shocked at the amazing large plush couch / TV area!

With this place there is no negatives at all. Just enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to be back!

Everything really was perfect for me, I could never find a better accommodation for that price. Everyone was super friendly and the environment clean and tropical. Love it!

There are wonderful trees, also many mosquitoes. Bring a mosquito repellent.

I visited to Negril only for Rick’s cafe, this hostel was the best choice. Rick’s cafe is just across the street. The room was spacious and clean. There are fruit trees on the way to the room.

I wish they would hire me to come in and just smooth out a few practical things like organising the kitchen a bit better, the bathrooms etc.

It's a lovely space. It feels secluded and calm as soon as you enter the compound. Trees and plants everywhere. A nice relaxing area. Beds are comfortable. The staff are wonderful.

We had the 2 beds room with common bathroom and not the bungalows. The room was really essential and small though, a bit more space or room for our clothes would have been great

This was such a beautiful stay! I mostly liked the common areas, there are huge and offer a lot (games, barbecue opportunities, ping pong table..). The staff is so friendly! Especially the cleaning ladies🤍 Depends on what you plan to do in Negril you have to weigh up, if an accommodation in the city center or near the 7 miles beach would suit you better. The location of this hostel offer a lot of food spots; the owner offers a free shuttle to the beach once in the morning. Back with a route taxi it shouldn’t cost you more than 500 JMD (3 USD). But it’s a very touristy area, taxi drivers try to rip you off!

This was my second stay. There are many things to mention. The staff are wonderfully friendly and always helpful. Elaine and Allecia are the very best. The same for Jordan, the owner. He is accommodating, responsive and an overall helpful person. The landscaping is lush and green! The pool is refreshing and clean. The property is safe, peaceful, inviting and stunning. I highly recommend Bak A Yaad.

Jordan and the whole staff were super attentive, helpful and willing to provide the best experience to us. Even though with a power outage in the entire region, the team tried to help us as much as they could. Very nice place, with a pool and just across the street of Rick's cafe and next to other good places to eat like Kool Vibes, and LTU. They have a transfer to the beach everyday and the everything was clean.
