The rooms are not soundproof and the walls seem too thin, as I could hear mostly everything happening in the room next to me. The TV was oddly missing around 75% of the channels.

Booked it last minute during the road trip and it exceeded my expectations. It's a very nice, family-run hotel in the countryside, around 10 min drive from Stykkishólmur. The atmosphere is so cozy, they have good breakfast and dinner options, though I did not try them myself.

The rooms with the mountain view were unavailable due to "renovation" or something, which was disappointing. Dinner options are very limited (two main dishes to choose from) and not so exciting. But we were glad there was something! An option for a double bed would have been good, rather than two singles that were pushed together. (these are all small points that did not spoil a great visit - we would go back!)

A friendly welcome and a lovely, cosy spot. An isolated location with plenty of opportunity to enjoy nature. We saw a jaw dropping sunset on our first night. Well organised and extensive options at breakfast.

Nothing really, only thing I can think of is that the road towards the hotel can be a bit icey.

Very cosy hotel, the atmosphere was very nice and their Halloween decorations were next level :)! The location is excellent because it is close enough to the nearest town but remote enough for the northern lights to be spotted!

This was one of the best places we stayed in Iceland. Family run, they were very accommodating, great breakfast! We ate not long before we arrived but wish we hadn't. Others said the food was great and that the pizza was better than any they had so far in Iceland.

The hotel is a bit isolated in the middle of nowhere. Short staffed, the receptionist and the waiter are the same person. Also had dinner there and was left with the main plates on the table even when served dessert. Could have a bit of a better service

The guests are left on their own overnight, and the staff didn’t come back to the hotel the next day. we had to get everything out for breakfast ourselves.

Very nice hotel, cozy and warm. Friendly staff and good breakfast with yogurt, jam, croissants, coffee machine and you can even make your own waffles 😀 Very recommended!

Everything was great! I wouldn't change a thing!

The place was adorable and perfect for what we were looking for. Was fairly easy to get to, although I got lost because I was using a terribly app. But the host was very kind and understanding and wasn't upset that we were way late at checking in. Beakfast was out and ready as soon as we were up! Which was pretty dang early! So couldn't thank them more for being accommodating in all of the ways.
