Lovely room, well equipped in a beautiful area. . The room was large and comfortable, with a large bathtub and plenty of room to move around. An excellent breakfast provided.

Ideally located to visit the area. The room was warm, comfortable and the view over the craters really lovely. The bathroom was spotless but the water pressure was a bit of a issue. Plenty of choice at breakfast, many cuts of fish available! The hot dishes instead were already cold at start of service.

Situated in the beautiful surroundings in front of the lake Myvatn. The most comfortable king size bed, very nice rooms, amazing breakfast, friendly staff. Didn't want to leave. :)

A minor thing: The sauna wasn’t quite hot enough but it was still a bonus. It’s an older property but they maximize all of it.

Location is terrific with neat walking experience across the street amongst the craters. The young man at reception was wonderful as were all of our food servers. They do an excellent job of cleaning the entire hotel. The food was excellent at dinner and breakfast. 24/7 coffee/hot drinks was greatly appreciated.

Superb hotel. Go for it if you are looking for a stay in Myvatn area. Great rooms and fantastic staff. Opt for dinner. We enjoyed dinner as well as breakfast next morning. We also spotted Aurora from this stay.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in Iceland. It had the northern lights wake up call, which we sadly didn’t get because of no northern lights that night. But the hot tub and sauna was amazing

There are small insignificant inconveniences; a sink too small to use, mattresses too soft, doors don't close without a key... Nothing really significant.

Really nothing can be mentioned.

This was the best hotel we stayed in Iceland. The free amenities (Sauna, Hot tub, pool billiard, bathrobe, flip flops, etc.) and the free breakfast were just great. The room was modern and spacious. The northern lights wake up call is a wonderful free service (we didn't have any luck though). The location is incredible across from a volcano walking trail. Seriously, we were so excited when we saw what the hotel offers for such little money (in March). Will definitely stay here again when I return. Thank you!

Everything was perfect.

I do not have enough compliments to this gem I found. Staff extremly kind, facilities are sparkling clean and very comfortable as well. The food in the restaurant is also amazing.

When I visited Myvatn, Sel Hotel is always my first choice of accommodation. Its home stay like for me and it never fails me in anyway. All staffs are friendly and its food was always at high standard. Bonus is its location! Apart from staying here during summer, each time I managed to see the aurora! This trip I literally saw it in bed through the window. If you are staying in a room facing front, sunrise or sunset, Lake Myvatn even aurora are all just outside your window.
