How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Taxi drivers at the airport now insist on a high flat rate charge from the airport to Keflavik. It's not exactly close but they complain that they have to wait in long lines to pick up customers. I get attitude almost every time but there is no other way to get into Keflavik. Perhaps the hotel should consider offering a shuttle service.
I stay at this hotel several times a year transiting through Iceland. The staff are chill and helpful. I appreciate the spacious lobby with spaces to work or chill, proximity to the swimming pool and restaurants, and helpful staff.

The lobby restaurant and bar and the overall facility was super nice! Would definitely recommend staying here before a flight. The hotel was also extremely quiet and comfortable.

Everything was great, nothing to complain. I would prefer individual bedding, we got one big cover for the king size bed, but I am sure they would have changed it if we would have asked. I will just remember to ask for it beforehand next time, as we will surely stay at park Inn again.
We were welcomed by very helpful staff that solved our issues with finding a taxi that transports us with a baby seat. Furthermore, we could have breakfast a bit earlier as we had an early flight. The room was huge and very well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom more spacious than the average hotel bathroom.

Everything was fine.
I stay in Keflavik at least five times a year on my way to and from Greenland and have tried most hotels in the area. This has become my go-to hotel. It is particularly good for young children because the very large lobby is isolated from guest rooms and includes a small play area. Particularly good for jet lagged toddlers. The staff are very chill and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Good restaurant, complementary coffee. A ten minute walk from the pool and close to stores and other necessities.

It needs to take taxi to sightseeing spot. Otherwise, it needs to get back to airport for bus to tourist spots. Not so many restaurants around.

The TV didn't have access to the streaming application, only few channels.
Spacious and relaxing room with a view on the parking, the street and the sea. The hall is beautiful and the rooms are too.

We were only here for half the night as we had the first flight out in the morning(checking out before 4am). Very comfy room though and nice big shower, which was a treat after staying in a campervan for the rest of the week. Staff were super nice, letting us get a cheeky morning coffee for the road after only a few hours of sleep. They were also helpful ordering our taxi for the airport and checking in on our taxi, which was quite late.

There is not a huge area for parking so we did have to park on the side of the road
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. The food in the restaurant was also great and the location gave us peace of mind the day before our flight as it was so close to the airport.

Price quality ratio is really bad, as most accommodations in Keflavik. Rooms are quite standard and are missing a soul. Just bring the beauty of outside, inside the room with some nice framed pictures.

Very expensive, but that is all hotels in Iceland.
Good location for KEF which is only minutes away by car. Large modern rooms. Restaurant had very limited menu as chef was ill, but food was good.
