Really lovely hotel. The owner was super nice and served us food even though the kitchen had just closed for the evening. The views from the back "garden" are amazing, and the hot tub and sauna available are perfect to relax in after a long day of travelling. The room itself had everything we needed. I would definitely come back :)

The room was very comfortable and large. Nice amenities, such as dishes and mini fridge. Although, there is a notice that if you don’t wash your dishes, you will be charged a fee. Had to pay for breakfast, which was a little disappointing. So I chose not to eat there. The coffee in the room was decent. The bathroom was big enough; some are so micro sized, it’s difficult to maneuver comfortably.

Bathroom shower door and floor did not align well, but otherwise spacious and clean. The heater controls did not seem to adjust to the right temperature but windows were usable for fresh air.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was spacious and furnished usefully for travelers with a usable kitchenette and refrigerator (new appliances). The hotel had a nice hot tub and sauna as well with quick access to the Ring Road.

Easy check-in, great room for three people, loved the hot pool and the surroundings. We had the chance to watch northern lights from the hot pool. Would definitely go there again.

Nice room, in the middle of nowhere, meaning no light pollution if you want to watch northern light. And large windows, meaning you can monitor and take Northern light pictures from inside the room. I took this picture right from the porch

This is a very nice hotel located "in the middle of nowhere" but very close to the main road, and this is the advantage of the place - great view and peace, very nice and comfortable rooms, nice bathroom, fully equipped kitchenette and nice bed, there is a restaurant on site to eat.

Everything was perfect. The people there are welcoming and friendly. Loads of space to park. Dinner was really nice. Easily the best view we had from any accommodation during our time in Iceland (which is really saying something because it's a beautiful country). The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with all the facilities we could possibly have wanted. We used the hot tub and sauna shortly after we arrived which was just perfect after our long journey.

All was great! It would be nice to stay longer than one night. )

We stayed in one of the apartments at Laxárbakki for one night only. It was a really good night of sleep and the place had everything one would possibly need (even washing machine inside our apartment). The view was lovely and a huge bonus was the restaurant! Home made lovely Icelandic dishes made our stay more welcoming and enjoyable. The owners were kind and accommodating! We are truly grateful for your hospitality and surely would stay again (possibly, when we come back during summer season).

Very comfortable and well-equipped room. Dinner and breakfast available on site and good quality. The owner was extremely helpful and very generous in assisting us with resolving some logistical issues. Highly recommended.

Overall the place is great already, so there is no big deal here. But maybe the water stopper in the shower enclosure could be a bit bigger (higher) because water keeps spilling out. I am surprised that with the stove and hood where people could do a bit serious cooking there and the place is still kept clean. Hope it's not too much work for the owner. For me, just microwave and kettle is enough during travel.

Great place! I had a good sleep. Room was clean, and packed with all the equipment. Got washer and dryer, which makes it convenient because laundromat is not common in Iceland. So, once in a few days during my trip, I planned to stop at hotels like this.
