I overheard some other guest that were arriving late and were hungry but the kithcen was closed and everything else in the area, and there was no effort from the staff to even prepare a sandwich ... so I ended up offering them something my snack.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would return. Clean, comfortable and nice decor (despite being a boarding school). Swimming pool and running track nearby. A good location to base ourselves for visiting Lake Myvatn and Husavik.Good breakfast too.

Personally, when we travel as a family, we prefer to stay in one room. We had to have two rooms to accommodate the five of us. That and the value for what we paid were my only complaints. For 140 EUR per room we had two single beds and a private bath. No microwave, no fridge, no television in the room. There was a common room in the main building. The bigger issue in a Booking(dot)com issue - pricing is such that rooms as listed on Booking are priced for adults. They do not allow for you to choose a combo of adults and kids which this property does have separate rates for. So, we overpaid as we were charged for four adults. Had we booked directly we would have paid for one adult in a room plus a fee for a child with an existing bed. In this case we did not get a good deal with Booking because fees were not set up correctly.

The location was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly. The quiet nature of the facility allowed us to have a restful night's sleep for our early morning departure. Breakfast was delicious - very American options were available which our kids were happy to have.

It’s a dorm room so no fridge or microwave. The black out curtains didn’t.

The buffet was delicious and varied. The whole area was quite. It’s away from the city on a campus. There was plenty of parking.

Of all the 7 places we stayed at in Iceland this had the friendliest staff. Easy booking & out. A huge complex with ample parking. Good sized room & shower. Nice breakfast, with cooked sausages, scrambled eggs & bacon. Lovely continental selection also & nice breads to eat or toast. Note that this place is private school for 9 mths and available for summer holiday bookings only.

It is in fact a boarding school that is transformed into a hotel in the summer therefore the rooms are rather simply furnished but we had everything that we needed. It is a compound with a couple of buildings and most do not have an elevator in spite of the description.

The staff is not very attentive and some of them are not professional. It is good that they have room for many people in the hotel but at breakfast it was very noisy and crowded for this reason.

Good location. Enough parking spaces available. The restaurant offers delicious food. Breakfast starts at 7am and has a wide selection.
