How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The sink in the bathroom has a bit of weird smell and the shower was not ideally clean

My shower was broken, which was a bit unfortunate, but other than that I have absolutely no complaints.
The staff was very nice. Check-in process was extremely fast & breakfast started super early in the morning, so I could even get breakfast before my flight. Hotel looks a bit dated, but it is very clean and offers all the facilities you might need. Is super close to a lake, so there were some beautiful views. Enough stores in the neighborhood as well.

Shower curtains - need replacement
Very quiet and clean. Comfortable bed, tasty and diversified breakfast. Nice and friendly staff. Lovely view - ocean nearby.

The breakfast is good but very simple, could have more options.
The hotel is well located, the bed is very confortable and the late self check-in works very well! Very usefull to those who arrive late to the airport like we did.

The hotel does not respond to SMS or emergency phone calls, they absolutely do not care if something happens to you. Therefore, you cannot count on help. They only give you 1 key for a triple number, so if you lose it or slam the door, you’ll spend the night on the street because they don’t answer the phone or SMS.

Close to the airport, and the bus stop. There is also a 24 hour supermarket near by which makes the staying super convenient.

Very large bathroom and reasonable size of the room. The hotel is close to the airport. Price is a bit high but not excessive for Iceland' standards.

No usb outlets and just a few plug connections Bathroom no ventilation or bidet but good quality shower. Icelandic fad for two separate duvets on a double bed. Cappuccino required an extra double espresso to feel real.
Arrived at 2am but no problem parking. Good price relative to most Icelandic hotels. Easy to locate. Main door Entry key posted by email, however door was not locked when we arrived. Room key was left on reception desk. Room size and layout adequate for 1 night stay. Glass bathroom door leading to bedroom provided little sound cushion. No usb outlets and just a few plug connections Bathroom no ventilation or bidet but good quality shower. Icelandic fad for two separate duvets on a double bed. TV not utilized. More than adequate generally healthy breakfast.

The bathroom had no heat and was freezing, there needs to be a light outside of the main door-this is a self check in and it is impossible to see the numbers on the lockbox after dark.

The room was a bit cold and the heating thermostat did not seem to do anything. The room did not smell good. Also, this is my second stay in this hotel and I think the rooms are a bit too dark for my taste (more powerful light bulbs would be needed)
Good location, easy check-in and out, and parking is available at the front of the hotel. Its in the town centre, close to the sea. There is a good selection at breakfast and the coffee is excellent.
