First time staying in a hostel... So I don't know what is normal. But, zero quality. Stove top needs BETTER operating instructions.

Very good location because you could walk to restaurants, gas station and shopping. Plus it had a lovely view

Our room was too small for 4 people (2 bunk beds), it was extremely warm and stuffy, especially in the night with the room door closed. You can only open a tiny window, which lets barely any fresh air in.

Room and shared facilities were clean and looked newly renovated.

    (1) The cracked window glass in Room 2 was allocated to us. For safety issues we rejected it and was given another room without question. (2) the duplicate key to the main door had difficulties opening. This was fixed immediately by the staff.

Within walking distance to restaurants, cafes and supermarkets.

It is absolutely not clearly indicated on booking that there are no bed linnen. So I end up paying 162% of what was indicated. That is insane en not quite fair.

Overall very good. Only one big complaint.

Bed sheets were not included, information is not clearly provided in the general description on booking.com and so I missed it. Had to rent it at the location for 3500 ISK (23 eur) per blanket. Hostel has all the needed facilities to stay for a night, but just a bit basic. Next to the main street and gas station of Isafjordur so noisy, the window of our room was shattered so looked a bit unmaintained. From our 10 accommodations in Iceland, this was the most expensive one, and with the least facilities and comfort. So seems a bit high price for the quality. Would be nice if they could include the bed linen.

Good basic hostel in Isafjordur, with a private room and comfortable beds, bathroom with good shower, and a kitchen with equipment to prepare your own food and enough place to sit. Friendly staff at Hotel Isafjordur.

Bedsheets aren't included in the price. Bring a warm coat if you don't want to pay extra for sheets.

The beds were comfortable, there was a kitchen with appliances to cook breakfast/lunch/dinner. It is located well as I found the hostel without too much hassle.

The rooms do not come with any sort of bedding, I can see based on previous reviews that you are able to rent a blanket although I was not informed of this prior to arriving at the hostel. I think that it is quite malicious to leave your guests without a blanket in the freezing winter. On top of that I couldn't even get ahold of the owner via the messenger on booking.com or the email they provided. I get that it was a weekend and maybe it might be run by one person but I feel like it is necessary to at least respond to your guests. Disappointing, because the hostel itself was quite nice.

The actual hostel itself was very comfortable with a nice kitchen and clean bathroom.

We reserved a 3 bed room and ended up in a 8+ bed dormitory. The beds were fine, but very expensive for a bed in the dormitory. It's not very clear but the only options in the hostel are beds in shared roo. Also required to bring or rent linens which were also surprisingly expensive.

Location is very good. Nice common area. Nice and good number of bathrooms.

Rooms are a bit cramped, facilities limited due to being fully booked in Sept. Seems a bit old and not the best maintained.

Budget hostel, location is great at the centre of the city, lots of food / supermarket options around. Good value for money as hotels are quite pricey due to limited availability.

I can't comment much on the hostel as I was upgraded to the guesthouse in a very comfortable triple room with bathrooms down the hall and access to the hotel breakfast buffet. It was a perfectly restful stay.

The room was way to hot and hard to ventilate, especially during the night, since the blinds are blocking the open window, stopping the air from going in/out of the room. Woke up in the middle of the night while my roommate in the top bunk was reaching over, opening the blinds, trying to get some air/coolness into the room - making our room visible from the street. Also - bring earplugs, especially on the weekends, there is a pub next door with live music and lots of people partying into the night, walking by and going out for fresh air.

Everything there I needed. Really nice location. Next to(-ish) a supermarket, restaurant, live music pub (probably just on the weekends). Large seating/living room/kitchen area. Met fun, interesting people. Overall, very nice and cozy.

I think I got my room/hotel/hostel changed on the last day stay to the guesthouse, which came as a surprise, though that was not discussed with me..

It was good location - the actual place isn't that extense, but the hostel is located in nice convenient area close to all the main points of interest.

Be warned that beds do not come with any sort of blanket. If you don't have your own, it will cost 2400 ISK to rent a duvet which you may not end up needing because the rooms are heated to the point of stuffiness.

Great location for exploring the town. Extremely helpful staff at the hotel reception.
