The upstairs room had some quite active children staying in it and you could clearly hear them running around. However, we were not disturbed during sleeping hours.

We had a great stay at Hotel Aldan. There was plenty of free parking, and the hotel was so centrally located in Seydisfjordur (walking distance to the rainbow street, the main reception and restaurant). The room itself was decorated in an antique-y style but was clean and the bathroom was very modern. The bed was very comfortable, there was a kettle with free tea and coffee, and we had a great view out to the mountain. Check in was fairly easy although located in another building.

The room was really pretty. Located at a very convenient location right next to the famous blue church. The room was clean. View from the window was awesome. Staff was helpful. Overall I highly recommend this place.

The restaurant and breakfast were just too expensive and not value for money.

Our room was beautiful. Plenty of room to spread out. Bed was comfy, bathroom was big. The view from our room was also lovely.

Really lovely cosy old building with beautiful old wooden floors, antique cabinets and nice colored painted doors and walls. Great beds, nice setting, nice shower. Old fashioned elegant grandeur. Really lovely!

We visited the village during low season and the hotel restaurant was closed. It was not reported nor were we warned. since we arrived after 6.30pm the supermarket was closed. Luckily there were one bistro open and we managed to eat something. But it was the only one in the whole village.

The room didn't really suit two couples, very little privacy. That being said, the design of having one bed in an alcove was clever, but better suited for kids staying with parents.

Nice atmosphere and decor, close to everything. Nearby bar restaurant has great food. Staff at reception very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was not included, and the breakfast available for purchase did not look especially good compared to breakfast included at other hotels. We chose instead to have breakfast at the gas station located across the lagoon, and the breakfast there was excellent.

Some of the door slamming by other rooms were a little annoying but it wasn’t late at night or early in the morning thankfully.
