Unfortunately, it is the only hotel in town and their price seemed a little steep compared to other hotels and hostels I stayed at in Iceland.

The beds were nice, the kitchen was clean and the bathroom was clean too. Spacious rooms and mine at least had a sink in it, which was nice.

Djupivogur and Framtid Hostel were a positive surprise! The small town was lovely, the hostel very clean and well organized. The receptionist at the Framtid Hotel where we got our key from was very friendly and considerate as well. I also thoroughly enjoyed the view out of our huge window right at the Sea.

The shower controls were nearly impossible to regulate. The dining area with only 3 small tables was small for so many people staying there & sharing it. The kitchen could use more utensils, cooking pots & pans and draining area for so many people.

Didn't buy the breakfast and no other options (gas station opens at 10) in town.

Great rooms with two shared bathrooms. One with a shower and one without. Sink in the room and a quiet area. Perfect as a layover stop. Not sure about the rest of the town but the pool is across the street and great food at the restaurant.

Several families with small kids were staying there together with us and they created all kinds of mess, which was a bit frustrating. But of course it has nothing to do with the hostel itself, just our bad luck.

Nice place that covers all your basic needs for 1-night stay. It is situated almost in the middle of the town, but it is very quiet outside. Kitchen is nice for cooking all kinds of simple meals, you can even brew coffee there (manually) if you have coffee with you. Shared shower and toilet are clean and decent. Rooms have wardrobe and a sink, which is very comfortable. Good and not very expensive place.

Kitchen could use another power strip for the microwave or add another electric outlet. Then you don’t need to unplug toaster& then plug in the microwave. Also one of the room shades did not go down. May have been broken.

If the hostel is full though I can see it being a little bit overcrowded since the kitchen is not that big. But it was great during our stay!

Very pleasant staff. Easy early checkout. The hostel itself was quiet when we arrived there was only other couple staying. Everything was clean and nothing was missing. Despite the hostel looking old it was good value for money. When we stayed it was quiet and everything was there make our meals and make ourselves comfortable. Also we were pleasantly surprised by early working geothermal pool nearby. It was great way to start the day!

the 20 or so steps to the pool, quiet (I think there were only 2 other guests during our stay and they seemed to be living there). fine location within walking distance of everything. staff at the hotel were great, friendly and helpful with suggestions for area sights.

It was a bit cold in the room eventough the heating system was in the maximum. There should be more shower and toilet as there was a little queue of people waiting for taking a shower at night.
