A hotel in paradise. Located very close to Flateyri, it is a charming little hotel with even more charming staff. We arrived very late but the hotel made everything in the dining room kitchen available to us so we could prepare dinner with what we had in the car. So we were able to have a wonderful dinner and go to rest. Beautiful, clean and comfortable for the traveler. Taking care of all the details and that is very appreciated. Thank you for such a nice experience

Hot tub wasn't fully functional. Room blinds were broken so didn't pull down.

Great location with mountain views and very quiet. Has a hot tub and small beach by the Fjord. Has a big lounge area with comfortable seating and a big breakfast room. Breakfast was continental with a good choice. Our room was small but clean and comfortable with a mountain view. The bathroom / shower was good. Great location for Northern lights if the conditions are right.

In our room we had a glass shelf right over the bathroom sink and we hit our heads few times. We recommend to move the shelf a bit to avoid being hurt.

The room took wind in under the door and it made such a noise, had to seal the door with towel. The sink in the bathroom is higher than normal.

Never really had interaction with staff until checkout. Fortunately none was necessary. We were under the impression that the hotel was in Flateyri when it is in Holt, a fair distance away (9 KM) , by car, across a bridge and quite isolated. We arrived a little late and finding a place to eat was difficult. Travelers should take this into account and eat and purchase any supplies before arriving.

Good breakfast, which was necessary due to isolated location. Hotel is surrounded by fields and many varieties of birds and flowers. Large clean room with hot showers. Hotel provided bikes, hot tub, small library and lounge deserving a longer stay than overnight. Mountain view. Trust system for soft drinks. Washing lines.

We were disappointed in the hot tub, which is badly in need of a new cover. My husband was unable to open it without help from staff. Although the interior of the renovated school house was in good repair, the exterior is looking a little the worse for wear. And I was sad that the breakfast room didn’t take advantage of the beautiful views but was in the lower level with no windows you could see out of.

We loved the location in the countryside. Our room, though smallish, was perfectly comfortable and was big enough for an armchair in addition to the desk chair. My husband enjoyed his bicycle trip to a most unusual sand beach. We never met the owner but the couple staffing the inn were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful.

There was nothing we didn't like during our stay

Everything at this place was great, from the welcome note for check-in (as we had to arrive later than the agreed time due to driving slower than expected) to the room and the outside area facilities. The location is quite in the middle of nowhere meaning peaceful and truly relaxing. The Inn even has an EV charging station for its guests which we were really appreciative for. The room was modern and although not big, it was very comfortable. We had a pivate bathroom with good water pressure and temperature too. Breakfast in the morning was great, they even had lactose free milk, which wasn't the case with other properties we stayed at during our trip. As for outside, you get 360 degrees of stunning views. There are 2 swings in a play area just before you get to the showers and hot tub. Totally clean and well-kept with the hot tub being the highlight. Perfect water temperature to enjoy the setting sun on a good weather evening.

We've stayed at much nicer hotels for a smaller price. Breakfast was a little poor. And aside from seeing someone when we checked in, we were in the whole big building by ourselves which made it feel slightly eerie considering you are in a very remote location. The last point I'm sure doesn't happen often but worth mentioning if you're off season explorers.

Location was great for people exploring the fjords rooms were a good size and comfortable. Not much around so eat before you get there if possible!
