The room was unfortunately not very clean. We could find dust near our bed. The hot tub was closed.

TV reception was not good - choice of channels was poor. Only 3 channels in Icelandic.

Lovely location overlooking the lake. Breakfast was very good - choice of cold or cooked. Evening meal was in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Staff very approachable and ready to assist. Plenty of car parking space.

Bathroom was vet around when I took the shower and the basin was so small that I could not pour the water into the kettle.

We were very happy with everything.

Everything was very nice! Our room had a large window overlooking the lake. The room was big and plenty of room for luggage etc. staff was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast buffet was very nice and we sat in a glass room with beautiful view and pleasant soft music.

Some rooms are not facing the nice view. Ours was facing the one inside garden. Besides, we were in a room with 4 beds, one of them, single, was a sofa bed which was not supee confortable. Was not too bad as well, only "ok"

We checked in very late at night, and a very friendly member of staff welcomed us with a big smile. Very friendly and helpful with lots of indications. Rooms are spacious, with high ceilings, comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. Breakfast was varied, tasty and with lots of options, even for people with certain allergies.

Everything was just perfect! The location is peaceful in the middle of the forest. The room was big, with amazing view to the forest, lake and the sky! The breakfast was delicious, dinner little bit expensive but very tasty. The receptionist was a very nice girl, who congratulated us with engagement 😸 The private sauna was amazing and clean. In addition we saw northen light from the window of our room🤩 The best hotel we had in Iceland! Good job for the hotel and everyone who is responsible for caring for it!

Excellent complimentary breakfast, upscale facility, and professional staffing. The hotel is located 20km out of Egilsstadir, it is nested in a tranquil environment. Our room was clean, and WIFI worked well.

Our only real complaint was a large tour group that congregated in the lobby right next to our room where our child was sleeping after 10pm and onward for quite a while. We had ear plugs so it was ok but could’ve been very problematic with younger kids.

This is a lovely little hotel in the woods with surprisingly nice views of the nearby lake and woods. We shared a family room that was very comfortable for a family of 3. The hotel is very clean. The staff at reception do triple duty as baristas and bartenders in the lobby and were very thoughtful. Everything here is pretty peaceful and relaxing — and the interiors have been upgraded from the exterior. A La carte dinner was decent and breakfast buffet was good, if typical.

Bedroom furnishings very nice. Comfy bed and spacious rooms. Beautiful summer views. Breakfast was outstanding. Best breakfast in Iceland - soo much to choose from.
