Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

As being a high frequency business traveller, comfort is key. One thing is the facilities. But what matters the most, is the staff and its approach to the visitors. In that sense, Grand Hotel is magnificent.

I had the tomato soup as a starter, i could not eat it as too salty, told the waiter and he said yeah he had it yesterday and the soup was terrible so he said he told the chef it was bad ... not sure if being that honest to the customers was a cultural difference? I still had to pay for food I couldn't eat !

SingaporeSlightly out of the way from the city centre but it didn’t matter to us as we were heading further out for a road trip.
Very large comfortable rooms and beds. Bathroom had bathtub and shower which was great. The staff were wonderfully friendly, warm and helpful. Free easy parking. Near a Braud & Co at a petrol kiosk which was fantastic for grabbing a quick delicious bite on the go!

NetherlandsNo option to change temperature (it was quite warm) other then using radiator (most hotels you can set the temperature with a display). Spa is only open for a very limited time window. Isolation was not really good as we could hear and feel the wind in our room while window was closed. Location is outside of centrum.

SwitzerlandBreakfast buffet offers some variety, but quality did not meet our expectations. It was overall disappointing and the extra money could be saved.
Hotel is well located for excursions by car, although distance to center is too long for walking. The bed was comfortable, the room sufficiently large. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. We had one dinner in the restaurant, which was indeed very good.

NorwayEven though Reykjavik is very small, the hotel is not completely central for walking as downtown is around 30min walk. If you have a car, you can be there in minutes.
Very nice and modern hotel with good standards and facilities. The breakfast buffet was also very good with good variety and options.
