How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A look out the window gave me horrors. A lot of trash and cigarette buts in front of my apartment.
The apartment room itself was great.

The view from the windows wasn't great, just a rental parking lot, but that's not a big deal.
The staff was friendly, the breakfast was nice and served pretty early so one can grab a bite before the flight. Free shuttle available on a scheduled basis to the airport. Just remember to book it in advance.

The lighting in the rooms was too dim.

It is very close to the airport which was perfect for us since we had a very early start. They have a shuttle that goes directly there which was very convenient. The hotel is quite nice, rooms are big and it has a bar and a small shop.

The weather ;-) menu in restaurant- just convenient pub food
The room was really nice, bathroom nice and big, shower fantastic. Would have loved stay bit longer. Surroundings are very special (odd) in the middle of the old US army barracks

The entrance was a little tired - paintwork could do with freshening and the black seating unit at entrance door is very worn sadly creating a very poor first impression. Bathroom could do with brighter lighting. The easy chair in the room was a little stained and had a button missing - chair needs replaced.
Room was spacious and well laid out. Ultra modern and tasteful.

Great hotel very close to the airport. We stayed in a family room and it was very comfortable. We had dinner also at the restaurant and the quality & service was very good. The beds are comfortable. Very convenient free shuttle to go to the airport in the morning.

Breakfast was excellent for a buffet. It started at 4 in the morning! The Konvin was a fine stay. Its prime plus was its location. Very near the airport. Very friendly and helpful reception staff.

Even though the room was spacious it was cold and not comfortable. Facilites could be better.
Super near the airport and one of the best breakfast I had in Iceland in a similar hotel. Spacious room.

On the other side of the airport so with no shuttle to the hotel it is very expensive by taxi.

The room was quite cold and the bed not very confortable. The nespresso machine in the room was not working well and it would be appreciated to have a fridge in the room.
Very good hotel if you need to spend a night close to the airport - spacious and modern room, breakfast or cafeteria to buy some products available and very nice staff. Great value for money !

Didn’t realize they only have shuttle one way to airport with no pickups until after we had booked the room which required a change in our car rental plans.
Close to airport, so good place for our late night arriving flight. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy but it provided a nice start for the day.

There is not much around if you wanted to go anywhere nearby, it seemed quite residential however this wasn't an issue for us.
For an airport hotel chosen for convenience of location we were impressed and a shame we spent little time here. The room was enormous and stylish and the lobby and bar area downstairs were very pleasant. The locations is 10-15mins from the airport and the shuttle transfer was great. We got a ride at 545am and the driver was jolly and making chat and helping with our bags. Really appreciated the service on offer to get us off for our morning flight! We arrived late to the hotel after going to the blue lagoon so really only used it as somewhere to sleep but would recommend.

but situated on an old US military base - so not exactly scenic.
Mistakenly wrote the following moments ago, thinking I was reviewing a different place. It does not apply to the Konvin: Great food, wonderful staff, charming town. The convent ruins and lake on cliff top are worth a look. We did not eat at the Konvin, The staff was friendly. It is convenient to the airport,

It’s not a big deal and the staff isn’t obliged to keep lost items, but we forgot a charger and a jewellery item in the room. When we came back the next day, the staff couldn’t find them. Not sure if they evaporated or something :D
