The location neer the waterfall is magnificent. We have used the hot tubs (3 in total). There is nice paths for meeting the Trolls. Excellent breakfast. Nice environment and a large rock music collection!

The staff is super friendly! Breakfast was great and eating on the solarium overlooking the river waterfall was the perfect wake up! Hot tubs filled with water from the hot spring down the street pumped over was so relaxing at night! Then the northern lights show finished our night! Beds were very comfortable! Loved the jukebox and vinyl records in the resting library.

Absolutely amazing stay here! Cozy little room with everything you would ever need! We seen the magnificent aurora here also which was the most special moment. Forever in our memories is Fossatún Country Hotel

Staff were nice, even help me out with painkillers, breakfast was lovely, can use washing facilities for extra money. They have a few walks near by including a trolls one was really nice and you get some cool picture

The hot tub a bit far from the cabin but it fine. If possible they should put more hot tub 2 is not enough.

This place is the best during my trip. Too bad I stayed here for only one night. Room is clean. Host is very polite and helpful. Breakfast was great!! I felt like they didn't try to save cost on food for you at all. Well, Iceland is expensive in general. So to be fair, compared to other places I have been, this place got the highest value for money. Looks like they are family running the place, and I can see they put attention to details.

The fabulous world of Trolls - the Troll Garden is available, perfect for children and adults. Very nice place, warm and clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Tasty breakfasts, large selection and great service. There is an on-site restaurant serving not only dishes, but also a collection of vinyls (you can turn on your favorite album and drink a delicious beer). The advantage is the jacuzzi - perfect for relaxing and the location away from the lights - perfect for watching the Northern Lights. Near road 1, near Reykjavik I highly recommend it !!

Amazing!!! What a wonderful spot to enjoy Iceland and very comfortable rooms and beds and a wonderful breakfast! The waterfall and amenities just made the experience they much better and we had the best northern lights viewing here. 10/10+ will absolutely stay here again!

I apparently did not look the photos when I booked this hotel because I was very surprised by the river!! I mean, the restaurant is over. A. River! Also, there is a really cute troll park behind all of the hotel cabins. Made for a wonderful walk to digest the amazing dinner from Rock and Troll! We saw a surprising amount of things on our first day in Iceland and this was the best way to end that day! Make sure to wake up in time for the mouthwatering breakfast buffet. We caught the tail end of it but it was still so good!
