With the snow that had engulfed the area, salt on the sidewalks would have been nice. Also, the water smelled like sulfur (nothing anyone can do since it comes from a natural hot spring).

Room was small but very quaint! The views getting to the hotel and at the hotel were incredible, definitely an authentic Iceland experience. No breakfast included or offered, but coffee and hot chocolate were served 24/7 in the lounge area.

Slanted ceilings were too low for tall people.

Very friendly staff. Optional (not included) breakfast on site. Great view from the hotel. Quaint hotel. Upper floor has slanted ceilings - my tall husband banged his head a time or two, but I was fine. Small, cozy rooms. Fine for a night. Not sure I’d want to stay here long-term.

Hot tub temperature needed checking as it was far too hot and we couldnt sit in it. The manager did check this when we mentioned it. Rooms felt a little tired.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the room was adequate for our one night stay. It had everything we needed. There was a hot tub and sauna available to guests and a large lounge and dining area with microwave, kettle and everything you need to make food.

The only very small downside was that there was no shower gel or shampoo available when we arrived in the room, but this was quickly fixed by asking the personnel for some.

The property was conveniently located and the views were amazing. We had the nice surprise of being able to use the hot tub when we arrived !

A pleasant hotel with a (really) hot tub and a sauna. During the winter season they do not provide food. However, there is a bakery and an excellent restaurant in the town over the bridge. The rooms are nice, but have angles in the ceiling which is a little weird to navigate the room. During our stay, the hotel was doing renovations.

We didn't mind at all, the hotel is still very nice and clean, but it is a bit bit older and more plain, so do not expect anything too luxurious.

The staff was great, they even upgraded us to a better room since it was my mom's birthday. Kitchen was fully equipped. The location is also quite convenient and the outdoor jacuzzi and sauna was great in the evening to warm up a little bit (they have a changing room right next to it).

some areas were a bit dusty + dead flies in the room, but nothing too bad

Loved the little cabin! Was absolutely wonderful. Great location if you're on a roadtrip. Neighbors saw the northern lights from their cabin the night before I arrived, so great potential.

Some rooms, included ours, didn't have room numbers, so it was kinda confusing and we had to try to put the keys on random rooms.

The location of this hotel was really nice, we had a wonderful view on the mountains. The hotel provided us some equipment for breakfast (i.e. jam, tea, coffee, plates and cutlery).

We were missing some kitchen equipment. There was only one pot and one pan. Also a bowl and some scissors might have been handy. The fridge is small but kept the goods cool. We only could not make sense of the TV as you needed to log into an App account or so. But maybe it was us. We saw so many sights that TV was not our priority anyway.

We booked a bungalow/private cabin and it was totally worth it. When you were preparing meals you could see the ocean and the volcanoes at the horizon, at times you could even hear the waves from the ocean.. You can park your car right in front of the bungalow/cabin. There was even a hot spa outside you could use for free. Beds were comfy, the entire bungalow/cabin really cosy. WiFi is strong and good. Check-in and check-out were super easy and convenient. Supermarkets are 3km away. We can highly recommend this hotel with its cute cabins.

The hotel needs some love (aka fixing), but nothing serious. The jacuzzi / sauna close at 10pm or 11pm, not sure, but a nighttime hot tub while watching the northern lights would be nice (night falls quite early, so we still got some).

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They weren't serving breakfast that time of the yerar, but they prepared a nice buffet (toast, peanut butter, a few jams, crackers etc.), plus coffee and teas. So... unofficial, but still breakfast. We had an appartment with balcony and all, so we watched / filemd the northern lights from the comfort of our room / balcony. Especially in winter, that's an awesome thing! The two outside pictures are of the same general area - one by day, one by hight.

The sulfur smell of the room and lack of good cleanliness (hairs on the bed and shower and dirty cutlery). A place to put luggage in the room.

The free condiments, free inofficial breakfast, hot tub, sauna and northern lights heated viewing room. Great view to the lake from some rooms. Night staff and cleaning lady were friendly.
