    Leaving

My second stay and it was just as magical as the first. I must recommend staying 2 nights so you have a complete day to enjoy all that is offered. The whole experience is dialed in catering to you. Staff is sharp, attentive, and friendly. The ambiance defines relaxation. The continental breakfast is exceptional, and the presentation is top-notch with a selection that couldn't possibly be all sampled. The private lagoon I often had all to myself and is otherworldly compared to the main Blue Laggon. I will definitely be back, and it was a perfect way to end a week of traveling abroad 😌

Towels could be better, there is no turndown service, no help with luggage. My complaint is about food in general: since the hotel is isolated and far away from the city, one would expect a five star hotel would have nice options to eat during the day. Reality is that a part from the restaurant that serve over expensive food at lunch and dinner, the only eating options for the rest of the day are cold snacks that you can purchase from a fridge they have.

Rooms are really comfortable and breakfast is delicious and complete

The early closing of the bar and although the Lava restaurant at the blue lagoon was awesome, it would be nice to not have to leave premise to eat dinner. The bathroom needs more lighting.

The staff was extremely accommodating pleasant and kind. The facility felt private. The fact that the lagoon itself was fof guests only made for a wonderful lagoon experience. Perfect place to stay to end a vacation, especially being just 20 minutes from the airport.

The tv in the room didn't seem to work so well, having just one channel and no access to Youtube or anything else.

This hotel is such a gem for anyone who is willing to spend a considerable amount of money on a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Both the hotel's common areas and rooms are beautiful and modern, but I'd say the real appeal is the fact that this hotel has a private Blue Lagoon! I can't recommend this enough for people looking for a unique Blue Lagoon experience. Plus every guest gets a complimentary entry to the public Blue Lagoon, which adds great value to the price of the stay. The views from the Hotel are absolutely unique, facing either the lava fields or the private Blue Lagoon. The breakfast was delicious and eating it with views to the Lagoon has become a memory for life.

The location and the view are perfect. The room was clean and well equipped. The bathroom was nice too. We had one of our best sleep here. The breakfast was superb. You got premium Blue Lagoon tickets with a free drink. Try out the Hotel's own Blue lagoon, it is not crowded.

just two points:- we thought we would be allowed to book treatments, I was even sent a list of treatments we could book, when at the hotel we were told we could not book as we had not taken an upgrade. when we visited The Retreat spa it was full of people who had booked days at the spa and were not residents at either hotel. that is wrong. When I booked I was told we could use the Spa Restaurant, however when we arrived and asked if we could ensure there was a table booked for us for lunch, we were told we could not use the Spa Restaurant. The staff could not explain why in either of the above cases, however on pressing hard we got them to resurveys lunchtime table at the Spa. all through the booking and whilst at the hotel there was a very confusing message, and to see day trippers being given priority over guests seemed just wrong.

all round it was a great stay, we loved the peaceful tranquility of the hotel.

They could have had a small cafe open during the rest of the day for those that did not want to go to the restaurant at the blue lagoon. Or there should be some kind of extra food service for those who would like to stay in for the night.

The variety was perfect and couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Limited dining choices, but as this is a small intimate property it was not really an issue. Only 10 minutes from several really good restaurants and stores in Grindavik.

Very beautiful property built right in the lava field. Each nights stay includes an entry for Blue Lagoon for each guest, but he the thermal bath at Silica is much nicer. Very nice breakfast buffet, welcome drinks were a nice touch. Each room has a nice little patio right on the lava field.

Incredible! price was 5x more then I have ever spent on a single night and I was worried it was just expensive because of the lagoon, but this was so wrong. You were pampered and treated with respect the entire time by the staff. Multiple welcome drink of your choosing, robes, slippers and the breakfast was truly great compared to the normal. The lounge area in the hotel was extremly cozy with comfy chairs and blankets to look at the private lagoon, mountains and moss covered volcanic landscape. The private lagoon was multiple times better then the main blue lagoon with a private bar and it was a lot larger then I expected and felt very private. Honestly was a great stay and If you plan on going to the blue lagoon twice the room almost pays for itself. The hotel is situtaed away from the main lagoon so it is very private and they have a on demand taxi to move you between the blue lagoon and the hotel (2min drive) If your planning a trip to the blue lagoon staying here is a must if you can afford it. It was really the highlight of our honeymoon in Iceland and I have "No Ragrets" ;)

Very expensive and the rooms are not exactlty sound-proof. You might hear your friendly and active neighbours and you will hear whatever is going on in the corridor

Exceptional hotel in a must-do Icelanding landmark. Staying at the hotel also grants a couple of free masks and a free drink at the public Blue Lagoon, which is always nice. They also have a Northern Light alarm call that you can sign up for where they call you if northern lights are active and visible at night
