Great place to be just outside Höfn. Close enough to head in when you want and just outside so you’re not in a crowd. Would definitely come back.

When we arrived the foldable cot for the baby was not there, but we called and they came within 10 mins. It didn’t have bedsheets of a mattress but we used ours.

There's not a lot of space for luggage which can make the place feel quite crowded.

Practical location by the ring road, great stay with three people for four nights. Kitchen is well equipped, general decoration could be more cozy but is practical.

I would've liked better directions with the stove to maybe include pictures. I accidentally hit the lock button and it took us a while to figure out how to unlock it. Which was just holding the locking button again, but the directions mentioned a key button so I wasn't sure what that was. Other than me not knowing how to use an induction stovetop everything was great

We stayed in the split cabin and it was very cute. The bed is incredibly comfy with stunning views out the window. It was cloudy the two nights we stayed with low aurora activity so no luck for us. It was also close to town, but not so close that the light pollution would've ruined aurora views. The shower was also very nice with a large space. It was close to some amazing spots to visit along route 1 and about an hour from Diamond Beach.

NOTHING wrong!

These are fantastic little cabins outside of Hofn. PLENTY of space. Comfortable couch. The name is ON POINT, we saw the aurora on our second night. The beauty of these is that you are very close to the town of Hofn without having to be IN town with all the light (this is important for aurora hunting). We would 100% stay here again.

The shower floor seems to have some residue from many uses/cleanings. It was clean but could probably use some deep cleaning.

We stayed here for the lovely view and it did not disappoint! We even saw the Northern Lights on our 2nd night. It was everything we wanted. The cabin is small and cozy.

Aurora Cabins were comfortable, well located and with an easy check-in process. Lovely view of the mountains from the room. Sadly, we weren't lucky enough to see the Northern Lights but this would be a great location for it.

We got to see Northern Lights on our 2nd night here and thankful for that coz was hoping for that when we plan our holiday to visit 🇮🇸 in December. Cottage is cozy and warm and bed is comfortable to sleep thru the night despite we experiencing windstorm when we checked in on our first night. Kitchen is small and basic for us to cook simple dinner. Takes abt an hour drive to Diamond Beach & Jokulsarlon for our ice cave tour. Hofn town is abt 5mins drive and there is N1 petrol kiosk and Netto supermarket to grab groceries. We didn’t visit any restaurant there as we plan to cook lunch and dinner. Vestrahorn/Stokksnes it takes abt 18mins drive from cottage. Definitely return here when we planned to visit 🇮🇸 during the midnight sun.

It's a little tight in space, especially if you have kid(s).

Well equipped, nicely set-up, efficient use of space. Amazing view of the mountains and the ocean in distance, just 5 mins before Hofn.

We had no issues.

Our stay at the Aurora Cabins was fantastic! We loved it there. The views were incredible, and it was super easy to find. Clean, comfortable, and convenient. There are two Adirondack chairs on a hill next to the cabins, and even further up the hill, there is a bench... It's very serene to sit watching the view from those spots. They even had a welcome packet with instructions to aid their guests. I would definitely recommend staying here!
