The facilities are a bit basic but it didn't take away from our good time. It is an expensive beach so Bananarama was a great value.

Bananarama has a perfect location beachfront. It is right in the middle. It has great staff and lots of live entertainment. Food is great at the retaurants and has a great atmosphere. Breakfast was included. The rooms are a bit basic but they didn't take away from the experience. We will return. While we did not dive, everybody else did and were very satisfied.

The facilities were very run down. My shower light didn't work and it was pitch black. The maintenance person started speaking Spanish and didn't fix it. I later heard him speaking Enlish. I had to ask again the next day. The safe didn't work in either my room or my friends. My air-conditioning stopped working and was fixed bur dumped water everywhere. The room was filthy but the house keeper had the nerve to leave a tip envelope.

Dive shop was wonderful. Beach was outstanding. Beach umbrellas were brought out and set up every day when we asked. Security good and kept vendors from harassing us.

It said on the booking that there is parking and there isn't, so I had to pay for something nearby. Wasn't that bad though and I'd stay again.

Staff were very nice and I needed to print some documents which they did for me at reception despite being very busy which saved me a lot of hassle. Lovely beach! Breakfast was really nice. The room was a good size and very clean.

Wednesdays were very crowded when usually 5 cruise ships were in port.

Great location, Wonderful breakfast five choices but they were always the same, Beach was nice and very safe to leave our stuff on our chair when we went into the water or walked down the beach. Loved the snorkeling especially the night snorkeling.

Wait staff at restaurant was rude and looked like they didn’t even want to be there. Not informative at all and didn’t even smile.

We loved the location very private of our little cabin. It was tucked away in a corner away from all the noise. Cleaning staff did such a good job and room always smelled great! Very kind. The diving area staff were nice and helpful. Our driver to and from the airport was awesome! We felt safe all the time at this resort. The beach seating is clean and security staff always had smiles.

The water pressure in the shower is bad but I think that is to be expected in Roatan.

The staff was great! the location is perfect! the Thirsty Turtle has great vibes, delicious food and reasonable prices. I like their 3 - 6 Happy Hour prices so we ate there the majority of the time. I also like that there are events every night: the Fire show was incredible, the Crab Races were short but fun, Karaoke was enjoyable and the live entertainment was really good. The rooms are spacious, with well-working AC and they were surprisingly quiet. We had room 13 and liked it. The hammocks are a nice touch and we enjoyed seeing the cat around the property.

The resort needs a few maintenance tweeks here and there. The water pressure was really low in the room I stayed in, but ok in family members room.

The location is excellent, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The free breakfast is delicious. Eddie, at the bar, is awesome! The nightly entertainment was good. The Rooms were clean and comfy .

As of February 2024, Bananarama drive is still a series of water-filled potholes that make navigation difficult, whether by foot or by car. Accomodation #16 was fine but not well kept up, and refrigerator did not work consistently.

This resort is a relatively affordable option in a fabulous location for snorkeling from the beach, hanging out on the beach, and taking excursions.

Dive shop activity early every morning just outside our room (room 2) was pound with a lot of shouting and loud discussion by staff. During day when there was rain there was the loud compressor noise used to charge tanks which made it difficult to hold a conversation on the balcony of our room. It was to the point we had to go to the bar/restaurant to get away from it. Room had limited room and storage for cloths - we basically had suitcases on the floor which meant little area to move around the bed.

Location on the beach, bar, restaurant and breakfast being included. Access to snorkeling on the reef relatively close. Beach loungers and umbrellas included. Different restaurants choices available close.

cottage itself #14 has a loft bed accessible by wooden steps which could be inconvenient depending on your guest. No TV availability but biggest complaint would be very very low water pressure!!!

The location is unbelievably good. You can walk down the beach to the best snorkeling I've ever seen in less than five minutes - and I've snorkeled Bonaire, Belize, Cuba, and multiple parts of Mexico! The grounds and rooms are kept up very well, the staff are all friendly and helpful. The air conditioning worked well in both rooms we stayed in, though in Room 11 one of the beds is not in the air conditioned room. It stayed cool enough though with the bedroom door open. The restaurant on site is also located really well, and the provided breakfast is filling enough. The prices at the restaurant for other meals reflect the location more than the food quality, but there are games there for kids to play while waiting for food, which made up for it for us. I would (and in fact, did) stay here again.

Only thing I can think of is at night there was a band playing behind our room so it was loud but kinda what I expected with it being in a touristy area.

I loved the simplicity of the hotel. I loved how close it was to the beach. The restaurant was good. The cabin we were in felt private.

we stayed in cabin 3. This is a private cabana, near the back of the property. the mosquito situation is unbearable, can’t even sit outside, so makes the balcony useless. there is clanking of the scuba tanks In the am, but we were up for diving so that didn’t matter to us

the dive situation is perfect. Roll out to the dive shop and go. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked good.

Cleaning service and water delivery was a little lacking.

Good location near the beach and Dive shop, which is awesome. On site bar/restaurant is busy with good service. Also many other good dining options and some local shops.

They sold half their beach and not the beach chairs are very crammed together in a very small roped in area. It used to be great to spread out and have more space without being crammed in. I was told I could not move the beach chair outside of the small roped in area to have more space. The floating dock is gone - used to love Seemed to have smaller wait staff. Last time they were johnny on the spot with service. This time - took a long time to be acknowledged. Less staff. When I finally got a service staff attention, they were very kind and attentive - just not enough of them. No hot water for 2 days - it was addressed quickly, but I think the maintenance and upkeep of the place is suffering

Relaxed atmosphere, great location steps from a beautiful beach. Free breakfast daily. Friendly staff and quite helpful when you get their attention. Love the staff that ensures shade when on the beach.
