The night before my stay, I got an email informing me that the hotel is under construction, and that there will be construction noise from 9 am to 6 pm. This information should have been shared BEFORE my booking became non-refundable. I think they should put this in their profile on Booking.com so no one will make a non-refundable booking and then get ambushed by this noise announcement after the booking has been made.

The entire place was beyond our expectations. It certainly is one of the most interesting and best laid out 5 star hotels we've ever been too. The museumesque architecture is so fantastic. You could wander around all day and find something interesting to learn. On top of it the spa is top notch.

The pool is not a great place to hang out with friends. Which is okay, I just wish I'd have known beforehand. We came for a girls spa day and they are pretty strict about being quiet and where to eat.

The hotel is so unique and beautiful! The room is cozy and romantic and has everything you could need/want! I got a good nights sleep in a cozy bed! I also visited the spa, which is great for relaxing by the pool. The restaurant was great and I ordered room service- which was easy to order, quick and delicious! I enjoyed a massage before I stayed and it was one of the best massages I've had!

The hotel is too huge, almost like labyrinth. The door of the room is somehow hard to unlock, which makes you irritated especially when in hurry.

The hot tub was not clean and was not kept hot. Kids continued to jump in and out, splashing around like it was a pool to play in. Nobody was there to tell them the appropriate rules for a hot tub.

Nothing could have been better. As a builder of ultra high-end properties I was astounded at the degree to detail in all aspects of both the property and operations.

Casa Santo Domingo is a masterful architectural restoration, among the 4-5 most spectacular hotels in which I've stayed in the 74 countries I have visited. The staff is extremely friendly and professional in every aspect. This is a property that should not be missed. Even people that don't stay there should visit to see the museums, chapels, crypts and galleries!

The steam room shower area definitely needs an upgrade. There were no locks for the lockers. It was a super busy weekend with lots of weddings so the the staff was a little harried with tons of luggage, lots of catering, so it felt less serene than it could.

The hotel isi beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous. Loved the museum right on the property. Our room and the amenities were comfortable and clean. Lunch was delicious and the service was excellent. LOVED the pool and jacuzzi, really needed after a day of travel.

A minor thing: The check-in was a long walk from the entrance.

Loved how they so artistically incorporated the hotel in the ruins of a convent. A very special place!

It was Beautiful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated the drinking water and complimentary coffee/tea near our room. I was very happy to have a gym every morning and the pool/hot tub was a great way to end the days. The food was delicious. I also loved the parrots! Great location too and we felt very safe there.

The place is a cultural masterpiece. Well kept, museum on site. You can see the ruins and the history of this place. Absolutely was impressed by all the exquisite pieces everywhere you looked. Helpful staff, friendly workers all over the hotel. Had the breakfast included in our room and don't want to ruin their surprise that they bring to your table, but it was delicious and traditional Perfect location walking distance to the beauty of the city of Antigua Can not wait to go again!!!
