Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandRestaurant staff very cold, no good morning or even a look, restaurant open till 9.30, then they close the door for the buffet at 9.30, same for the breakfast, you need to be there at least one hour before closing time if you want to enjoy a full dinner 😡
Nice location, with its own beach. Nice setting for the bungalow.

United KingdomMixed messages from the team at times - beach bar changed its opening times mid-stay, said they weren’t selling pizzas when they should have been etc. Toilet in the room wouldn’t flush properly a lot of the time.
Great choice of food for buffet breakfast and dinner. Comfortable, large beds in spacious bungalow room on the sea front. Great space around the pool and on the beach. Friendly team comfortable with both French and English. Beautiful location off the main road with a private beach. A fab choice for fans of Death in Paradise as close to all the filming sites. Only 45minute drive from the airport in one direction and zoo in the other.

United KingdomNo coffee/ tea making facilities in room. Parking outside hotel grounds and no shuttle available during whole stay despite sign saying that a golf buggy would ferry your luggage. Had to carry 2 big bags a long way to bungalow rooms in the heat!! Poor for a resort of this price.
Very peaceful and good location. Comfortable bed and good food. Buffet breakfast extensive and buffet dinner good value for money at €32

United StatesRoom was small but nice, huge sliding glass doors to balcony that gave a wonderful view of the ocean. AC didn't work well at all 27c/81f first three days and I complained every day. Finally the rest of the week it got down to 24c/75f and we had to keep the bathroom door shut to get it that cool. Mini refrigerator didn't work when we got there but they exchanged it with another one that did. The electric is European style 240v so if traveling from the US take a power converter if you want to plug anything in. Breakfast only had the made to order egg station one day of the week, this should be open everyday. Scrambled Eggs were inconsistent, too dry most days, too runny to eat one day. Variety the same all the time, never any French toast or pancakes.
Location was great, very nice beach with plenty of shade and chaise lounges. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Staff speak English very well. Breakfast selection of fresh fruits, yogurt and toppings, breads and juices were very nice.

Czech RepublicIt seems to me that the hotel is run by children and minors and not by experienced hotel managers. Savings are made where possible. Sometimes it would like to paint something, repair it, renovate it, everything is starting to visibly age. Absurdly short opening hours of the pool until 19:00, when you return from a trip in the dark, without a chance to swim. Even if you know it in advance, non-functioning internet in the room and available only in common areas, nowadays surprises. Early in the morning, the back services do not work, no one will help you with your suitcases from the room. It is not possible to park right next to the resort, but guests of neighboring higher buildings have it, why? Chaotic cleaning - the cleaning lady didn't come for two days, she wiped the floor at the cabin next door, not at ours. Towels are only changed at the reception, where there is usually only one member of staff, and if you catch people checking in or checking out, you can wait tens of minutes.
Excellent dinners at a reasonable price, it's just a shame that they are also accessible to non-accommodating guests. This is not usually the case - in the bathroom, the water flows instantly and there is also a strong enough stream of water. Quality cocktails, albeit unfortunately in plastic containers. Beautiful location of the resort, helpful and kind staff. Tennis courts (watch out for the occasional hanging net).

United StatesOur main issue is the cuisine, which is need of an executive chef to upgrade the quality and choices, particularly dinner buffet. Dinner offerings were limited and not wonderful. The ice cream presentation was unappealing and messy looking. The grounds and beach area need some sprucing up. A few places looked very shabby and run down. We don't play tennis, but are the enormous green HEAD banners flanking the courts really necessary? They were a bit of an eyesore. Although our room in bungalow #4 was comfortable, it could have used more hooks and the bathroom was very snug.
Breakfast, snack bar items and cocktails/drink selection were very good. Comfortable and ample pool chairs and extensive grounds. You never felt crowded or in search of beach chairs, and we were in peak season. Well done. Excellent generous towel policy, unlike some other places on the island. Super comfortable bed. An abundance of hot shower and tap water...that really rates with us. Good thick towels changed daily.

United StatesThe beach bar was under equipped and under staffed for the sunset cocktail hour. They need more blenders and blender tops and more glassware. We would have liked more food options at the beach bar as well. Simple snacks would be fine, but choices were limited for evenings we didn’t want to do the whole dinner buffet. I also felt the wine selections were limited and my husband loves rum but the resort ran out during our first few days.
Loved the beach, our bungalow, staff friendliness, breakfast especially the hot milk for coffee.

United StatesThe food selection was not that great. All buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Very limited selection and often cold. You have limited night life as well. Music is not every night. They could use some updating on some of the buildings however looks like they are working on it. There were only one set of restrooms working by the restaurant and if you were at the beach you had a long walk. The property is spread out so if you have limitations could be an issue. You are about an hour with traffic from the airport. Taxis are very, very expensive; I would recommend renting a car. However the traffic is really bad so be prepared.
The grounds are really beautiful. The beach is nice and you have plenty of chairs and shade to enjoy. Room was comfortable even though it was small. Air conditioning worked great. The staff was very friendly and helped us with our needs. We were there for 3 days and it was very relaxing. They do have excursions that you can book a day in advance. This property has one of the prettiest beaches on the island.

BrazilBreakfast could have more variety of fruits and sweets such as cakes. Some staff couldn't answer some questions regarding hotel activities. We requested a soap bottle, which was missing in the room, but never received it.
Beach is awesome. Room was comfortable and we booked two rooms which were connected by a balcony. Very practical. Receptionist was very receptive. She gave us free drinks while waiting for the golf car.

CanadaThe resort is nice, however, the desk service is not customer friendly, the rooms are plagued with mosquitoes making for sleepless nights, and the view from the balcony is partly road. Besides that, the location by the beach is great, the theme nights at the hotel were very fun, the breakfasts were very satisfying, and the cleaning services was excellent.

United KingdomRequested kettle for room - never arrived despite asking again; at check out we were challenged as to where it was and when responded the receptionists spoke in Swedish together and did not direct questions to us Need to pay to change beach towels despite staying for 10 nights, accept they may not be changed on a daily basis but would have expected a change within this time without a cost Reception area needs to be better managed - unsure who was in charge and whether management on site Beach bar - limited options with no change of menu. They ran out of food one afternoon but were serving pizzas just over an hour later - as residents of hotel would have expected some other options available.
Fantastic location on the beach - lovely to wake up to the sound of the sea and look out from balcony onto the beach. Bedroom was spacious and bed was really comfy - cleaned on daily basis but few things need a general update (ripped net curtain, wardrobe / storage space very small) Staff in restaurant at breakfast and in evening friendly and welcoming Top marks to Lynda on reception - she was always welcoming with a smile and willingness to help out

AustraliaThe majority of the staff did not speak French, the staff were mainly Swedish or European. considering Guadeloupe is part of France this is not ideal ! Also hardly any local hire which is not promoting the local economy. They make you wear paper bracelets to identify if you are half board or full board. Very touristy n uncomfortable for the guest. We refused to wear them. They are just being lazy, all they need to do is ask the guest for their room number and name when they go for meals at the restaurant and no need for us to be subjected to ID bracelets.

CanadaCheck in was not very welcoming. Felt like I was bothering her. Had to ask all the questions, that I feel they should provide upon check in. Room - is nice. Cleaning staff amazing, came everyday. Bathroom - shower wall is not sealed and water floods the bathroom floor. No special touches in washroom such as kleenex box. TV - did not work - front desk is aware, said they were waiting for maintenance. 2 lights bed nightlight didnt work. Wifi - very weak in rooms Seems like the hotel needs A LOT of maintenance. Around pool loose board and nails/screws sticking out. Guadeloupe has excessive seagrass problems. First day we were there no seagrass. 2nd day a little and 3rd day wall of seagrass to get to water. My kids cleaned pathways to get to water. Which them all guest used. Why does hotel not have someone to maintain the seagrass, or push it aside a tiny bit so seniors can get to water? Water was to rough for my 7 years old. Parking is on public parking lot. At check in, its were they send their guest to park. We had the hubcaps stolen off our rental car. Very disappointing. Parking lot is not secure. When reporting this at front desk - they said not their problem, this happened to someone else in the morning as well, and to send an email to management. Kids club - brought my daughter at 1pm to the club - which is a start of activity listed on the board. The staff says not enough kids, come back tomorrow, while shes on her phone all afternoon. Went back in morning and this staff members was amazing and my daughter stayed at the kids club for 3 hours, even though she was the only one (she didnt want to leave) This property could be amazing with better maintenance. And if ALL staff gave it their all.
So torn on how to rate this property. Stayed here 3 nights family of four. We stayed in the hotel room. Was spacious enough, kids slept on pull out. Clean and confortable room - views phenomenal! 4th floor. Beach - 1st day was amazing for swimming calm waters. lots of Beach chairs, shade from palm trees, Beach Bar open as of 11am to late. Kids loved our incl. breakfast Buffet, lots of variety. We did the dinner buffet once - €32 adult - 16€ kids. Restaurants are at 5 min drive away. Pool is relaxing and beautiful setting. Check out - was perfect. Staff was friendly smiling and hope to welcome us again. Scenery, Beach, gardens beautiful.
