Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI usually don't care when rooms are small because that's normal in certain cities and we dont spend a lot of time in the room when we're traveling. But this was *really* small. Likewise the bathroom was squeezed into the tiny space, and up and step which is not great when your stumbling around in the middle of the night. But we loved the hotel - I'd recommend going up to a higher level room if it's in your budget.
The staff was very profession, the location was right in the heart of town, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really fantastic. The wine happy hour was also very nice, as were the apples always available for guests, and the umbrellas to borrow. We really appreciated these thoughtful extra touches.

SwitzerlandSink in the room is outside the bathroom so if one person washes hands during the night, the other has no choice but do the same.
Great hotel in heart of Torshavn. Happy hour with glass of wine makes a difference ! Breakfast is just amazing, lots of different food and drinks. Also restaurant is very good. We stayed in small double room which was literally small. The price was good so nothing to complain about. Room had all we needed. I do recommend this place

PhilippinesOur room (124) had very low ceilings and bad corners. My wife and I bumped our head on slanted ceilings at least 5 times each.
The hotel was very near important destinations and sights in Torshavn. Very good buffet breakfast. Friendly staff.

EstoniaWe were staying in room 215. The sink was not in the bathroom but in the room itself. It was a bit strange however did not cause any issues. Also we were feeling the smell of air freshener that was rather intense. We usually prefer not to have any fresheners with smell in the room due to possible allergetic reaction. This time I just moved it to another corner and it solved the issue.
Absolutely great location - just within 5 minutes of walk from historical part of the city. Delicious breakfast with good variety of meals and drinks. Cosy and warm room - this is what you need during constantly changing Faroese weather. Also it was handy to have a fridge in the room.

LuxembourgThe hotel has a very good situation. The breakfast was great. The double room was very small but the single room was good. The problem in the single rooms was that the glas separation between the WC and the shower was missing. This made showering always a bit of a mess. No sauna in the hotel and the hotel bar was closed. We were invited to take our drinks in the café which belonged also to the hotel. No parking-you use the public parking. I think it was overpriced compared to other 4 star hotels

SingaporeThe bathroom design could do with a bit of improvement as the water from the shower cubicle has a tendency to seep out to the rest of the bathroom floor. Also, the breakfast room can be overcrowded during peak hours - I had to bring my breakfast up to my room one morning as I was in a hurry and there were no seats available.
The room was not the biggest, but its layout and facilities are excellent. I loved the breakfast provided, with a fair selection to choose from (excellent scrambled eggs, by the way). Finally, I love the central location of the hotel, as it meant that I could go around the city with ease.

United StatesThe room was on the small side. The sink was also in the room which was kind of weird, but I was single and traveling alone and not spending much time in the room except to sleep at night and shower briefly in the morning before my activities for the day. I didn’t really mind it all—other than being small was a perfectly fine room. (it was a great bed which provided a great sleep in fact).
Great boutique hotel in downtown Torshavn, Faroe Islands. An ideal launching pad to both explore the capital as well as some of the far-away attractions (i.e. James Bond Tour on Kalsoy Island, or the G! Music Festival.) Hospitable, very friendly staff. And a great breakfast spread. Highly recommended!
