How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing at all
Loved my stay here. I’m glad I chose to experience staying in a hostel. Met some great and amazing friends (Cecilia and Noah) who were my roomies from France and Switzerland respectively. Shout out to the staff too, they were so kind and helpful. Kava time is the best hehe. Thank you Bluewater for your great service ❤️

The hostel itself isn't the nicest but in comparison to others in the area, it seems to be the best option. Is it perfect? No Would I stay there again? Yes
The pool was great and the staff are so so so lovely. Location is great, walking distance to lots of places to get food and reception will organise taxis for you if requested.

Great stay. Aggie was very nice and the accommodation was great. We were put into a different apartment because of a booking issue but everything went smoothly and it was very nice, it was great to have a kitchen.

Only downside is the facilities are quite old and there was no hot water to shower with.
Staff are amazing, very welcoming and helpful. They get to learn your name very fast and make your stay very pleasant. They organised taxi drop offs from the airport and booked day activities for me too.

Mattress was old and not comfortable and everything in the Hostel is worn-down and not really beautiful. Unfortunately the beach is also not beautiful and plastered with trash. Still a good Hostel for a short layover.
Very nice staff and good price. Good location because it is close to the airport and next to the beach. Has a pool.

Warm water was not hot but warm. Common thing in Fiji
Super friendly stuff. Helping with everything you need - booking tours, looking for accommodation even if they are booked out or booking taxis.They are always there if you need them. Aircon is work great. 100% recommend

The room we were in was right in the lobby which wasn't ideal, however it was fairly quiet. It is kind of out of the way to get to and no easy way to get to the main city centre or airport besides taxi.
The room was nice with only two bunks and aircon. There was a pool and it was on the same road as other hotels and restaurants. It was a short walk to the beach which was great. They were flexible on the check out time which helped us so much.

This is a basic place to stay but clean, just what we needed as a family for a night before heading out to islands. So nothing negative really it’s what we wanted and would stay again
Very easy to get to, quiet location but close to bars beach and shops. Very clean and Aggie at the front desk is simply wonderful and a ray of happiness!

Wifi a little weak, the common showers are either outside or not in very good condition inside, no little kitchen area to use even for basics like making coffee or tea, you need to ask to use the staff kettle, but you need to have your own cup
The people!! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! Mere helped me to prepare my trip in the Yasawa on last minute, Maria is the sweetest! Nice to have a swimming pool and aircondition in room, not far away from the beach
