Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLoved everything to be honest. But would have been nice to get some local Fijian food options on the daily menus.
The staff, the location, the coral, the whole experience was perfect! It seems like the resort is making a genuine effort to preserve the island and it's surrounds, which is always nice to see when travelling. The island is big enough to find your own pocket to chill out but also small enough to mingle with other travellers if you want to. Shout out to Joseph and Ann from the staff, vinaka!

Everything. It was from the very first moment a yes. The location with such an amazing house reef (the healthiest that I’ve ever seen), the island with beautiful beaches and the amenities, are just perfect. But if I can say something that really made the difference is the staff. Thanks to every single person there, we had an unforgettable experience. Specially Rob with his knowledge about the corals, the reef, the mantas and everything about sea life, Rafa, Chochi and the whole dive shop crew with them I had the opportunity to dive and snorkel, and everyone of the island family. If you have the opportunity to stay here and be a part of the change, responsible tourism, being sure that your money really matters for the conservation of the natural environment, this is your place. Thanks to everyone there again!

GermanyAfter a warm welcome with guitar music and welcome drink, we found a beautiful place in the middle of paradise. The staff was very charmant and friendly and indeed, they made from the beginning until the end everything correct and above standard. We stayed in a beach bure with an amazing view onto crystal clear water with a charming blue touch. All in all it‘s a very good resort with a much higher standard and professionalism than all others we’ve seen on a 4 weeks trip. Vinaka for this experience. See you next time

CanadaDinner was a set time of 7:00pm, which was too late for tired young children. Having said they, after a couple of days they were kind enough to prepare a kid’s meal at 5:00pm which helped parents avoid loud meltdowns. That was appreciated.
Great beaches and location, clean and comfortable accommodations with a lovely staff.

CanadaNo secure place to keep your cash/passports. They had lockers but ran out of locks, so unless you had your own, tough luck. Also, the strict meal schedule just didn’t work for us, with kids especially. Food not great, breakfast especially.
The location is truly beautiful. The snorkeling from Sunrise Beach was incredible and so easily accessible. The staff make such a huge effort with kids and make them feel so special. They also sweep the sand out of your bure every day, which is very appreciated.

New ZealandCommunication and understanding (of celiac disease) needs to be improved when it comes to Gluten Free guests (for some people this is a severe issue). It’s not acceptable to be served something that you have to throw up and for there to be uncertainty around what is ok to eat on multiple occasions. There wasn’t enough room in dorm rooms for everyone’s stuff when full (annoying as the whole 5 nights there was an empty dorm). All it would take for improvement here is to make sure there is a drawer for each bed. One of the fans in our dorm room didn’t really work so it was incredibly hot at night so very poor sleep. Music in the restaurant / reception area was often unnecessarily loud - annoying as that’s the only place with wifi where you can make calls and booming music is not welcome at 6.30am. The only other point would be about providing some more comfortable seating / relaxing areas all around.
The Reef, staff and the island itself. The reef is one of the most incredible we have seen and as a return visit 5 years on can see the improvements made thanks to the efforts of the team to protect and grow it. The staff are so welcoming and friendly - always keen to chat and ask about your travels etc. Love the vibe on this island it’s a great community of people and they really do want everyone to feel at home. The dive crew are the best!!! Despite below feedback for improvement we wouldn’t hesitate to return as positives still outweigh negatives

SwitzerlandI found a the food menu a bit repetitive compared to other islands. Also that we multiple times asked to get earlier kids menu but even confirmed it came at the same time.
I liked the hammocks, beach beds as well as the tents. A cool place that had all from backpackers, families and couples.

AustraliaI felt that the village visit could have been better. Perhaps a bit more information about the history of the village and the area. $170 for my husband and myself was not great value for money. I would not recommend.
Our Bure was in a fantastic location with beautiful outdoor shower. (Sunrise Beach) Meals were plentiful, lots of free activities. Coral and fish stunning.

Beautiful location on Drawaqa Island, the staff were extremely attentive and welcoming, bed was comfortable, lots of marine biology talks & activities to get involved in if interested including awesome snorkelling, short walk up to sunrise point for a nice view in the morning. United StatesThis is truly a magical place where you can really disconnect from everything. We traveled with our two very high energy children and the staff was so sweet with them, anytime they saw them they treated them like family hugging them, tickling them, etc...Ann, and Sai were very sweet to our daughter and son. The beach front bure was just perfect with no tv, or distractions so you could really focus on relaxing and being present at the place. We loved the outdoor shower, the hammock, and that we were steps from three gorgeous beaches with a world class coral reef with all the marine life you can imagine. They conveniently have a dive shop on site and I went on three dives including one with bull sharks, which was an amazing experience. We also went to a village with Vuki and he taught us a lot about the culture. The place is small enough that you end up meeting everyone and you end up feeling like a community, the children get together and roam the island, you feel at peace here. It has definitely been one of my favorite places anywhere and will recommend anyone to stay there. Thank you Barefoot Manta for a wonderful time!

AustraliaThe water in the shared showers for the Bures was cold and after SCUBA diving you need hot showers even on a tropical island .Also the bures were $250 Fijian a night so I think hot showers are to be expected .Sometimes there is a bit of a delay when you ask for something to be done ,it does get done but on Fiji time .
The staff make this Island super special .There are 3 beaches to choose from so you have plenty of room to enjoy without bumping in to other guests . SCUBA diving is offered with a dive shop and also great staff . The Bure was just up from the beach with great views and the ocean lapping in front .There are activities offered and a fabulous Fijian night once a week . The coral reefs for resort snorkelling are amazing some of the best I’ve seen in Fiji and are protected and monitored by the Marine scientists stationed on the island . Again the staff are super friendly and sing you onto the island and then farewell you off the island when you leave .

United StatesThe resort is in an amazing location with beautiful views, surrounded by 3 beaches that are only a short walk away within minutes. The staff was extremely attentive and made sure we were having a good day. We stayed on a beachfront bure on the sunrise side and it was cute and cozy, and we made good use of the hammocks every day. The evening events were also wonderful.
