The meal plan was quite expensive but understandable (islands are always more expensive as the food has to be brought there) I personally would’ve preferred more buffet dinners instead of the set or a la carte menu’s, I only had 1 out of 5 nights.

Had the best 6 days on this island! I love how everything is close to each other, the 3 beaches, the dining/bar area and the rooms. The dorms are big and the beds were comfortable. There’s beautiful palm trees everywhere and the snorkeling is absolutely amazing! All the staff are so nice and make you feel at home, I wish I could stay longer :( Buffet lunch was very good every day! Will 100% come back here when I visit Fiji again in the future. Amazing house reef x 3. The most abundant corals we have seen and all so easily accessible from the shore. Great dive team and access to talks from the marine biologist. Great array of activities both free and paid to fill your day. Really friendly staff.The rooms were great with the outdoor bathrooms. We will definitely be coming back!

We didn’t see manta rays which is of course always possible as these are wild animals! We were there at the start of May - the barefoot manta website says they are usually seen ‘every day’ April-October which is perhaps a tad misleading. Early in the season sightings are much less frequent. The resort is still magical without manta ray siting though.

So friendly, beachfront bure was gorgeous, beautiful sunsets, 3 beaches to choose from. Excellent snorkelling. The staff were fantastic and made a brilliant atmosphere, with loads of free activities, cultural insights and performances. Loved our stay here.

Nothing that is the properties fault, but I would recommend not coming in the wet season. It’s very wet. And, if you can, try to come in the mantaray season so that you get to see one. It’s May to October

This is a magical place. I have never felt so welcome upon first arrival, anywhere else I have stayed. They staff at barefoot manta are so hospitable. They learn your name straight away and take excellent care of you. I felt so safe and looked after. I was staying in the dorm and it was so social! Everyone sits together at meals etc. This location is unmatched and the snorkelling is included in the price, as are the Marine biology talks. I learned so much! Also an excellent place to learn how to dive and do your scuba cert. I honestly can’t even express how much I loved staying at barefoot manta, except to say that I cancelled another one of my bookings to return here. I loved it that much.

It is a wonderful place to stay and explore. The staff really made you feel part of the Barefoot Manta family. Seeing the first Manta of the season, the crew from the dive shop did an exceptional job to make it a wonderful experience for everyone while respecting the wildlife.

Very new, 3 beaches where you can swim in. A beach bar and plenty of activities. The snorkeling was the best one we did in the Yasawa Island. The food was good and in great quantity as well (mostly buffet), but a bit pricey anyway compared to the other resorts. Lots of young people around and backpackers.

The island resort is idyllic. The bures are clean, spacious and right on the beach, with plenty of activities and good food. The snorkelling and diving here are the best that we saw in Fiji, such a close, colourful and vibrant reef. The staff here were really welcoming and the village visit was very interesting.

Guy in the dive shop didn’t seem too interested. Pretty much ignored me when I had an ear problem after free diving.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Staff make you feel like family. They alone made the trip for us. In particular Joe and Barry are amazing people. Rooms are like a dream. Beachfront views, accessibility, clean and island vibes all round. Great variety of activities and snorkelling is the best we’ve had.

The dorms do get hot - a fan attached to each bed would be amazing but there are ceiling fans in the rooms.

The most beautiful and friendly place I've stayed! We stayed in a dorm right on the beach and it was great. The staff are amazing - so kind and friendly, they really make you feel so welcome. I've never been anywhere like it before! There's activities all day listed on the board but you can also just take snorkelling equipment and do your own thing! Ann, Bella, Barry and Millie were just fantastic! Thankyou all so much!

We had a great time at Barefoot Manta Island Resort. The lady in charge of the kitchen was super nice and helped us take care of our picky child. All the staff were extremely kind and did everything to make us feel at home away from home

WIFI might be improved...only works at the restaurant

Excellent resort in the island (only one) and better than others in the closest islands. The staff is just amazing! Good food, entertainment and 3 great beaches just less than 5 minutes walking...I totally recommend this place. Clean and confortable rooms/beds and a lot of activities to do! Great surroundings/reefs for snorkeling
