Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe fitness room was dirty and most of the time there was no aircon. Staff spend most of their time watching their phone An employee was calling regularly even at 21:30 to ask if everything was ok

Had a great view - Nile view south both sides of the Island. Room very comfortable. Hotel is in a sensational location - hotel ferry to mainland was always there when we wanted it. Ate mostly in the bar with the view North and over the east bank of the Nile. Though we did have 1 dinner from 12th floor of the tower block - sensational views. Food same price as rest of hotel which was a surprise.

United KingdomThe pool is freezing cold - I mean not cold, ICE cold! Even with the heat outside, it was almost impossible to get into that pool. So the nice part about relaxing at the pool didn't happen for us. There is also no staff present at the pool so you need to wait a long time to order a drink or get any assistance whatsoever.
The hotel is very nice an big. There are actually a lot of things to see if you dedicate a morning to walk around. We really like the fact that they are trying to be a sustainable hotel given that the rest of what we saw in Egypt is dirty and non-environment friendly. Food is pretty good (although we had an incident were they served us off milk one morning - they should me more careful with things like this). Rooms are nice and spacious with very nice view from the balcony. Every night in the lounge terrace there was live local music playing overlooking the Nile which was quite nice.

United StatesVery comfortable, staff are super helpful. The breakfast is otherworldly. The guest relations manager Mariam went out of her way to help make our stay special, even arranging a boat trip for us at a pretty good price. The dinner we had at their restaurant was one of our most memorable experiences- right on the Nile, with the view of St. Simeon monastery opposite it.

ChinaThe boat driver who took us the the pier from the hotel asked 5 dollars fee or tip. The transportation to and from the hotel to the pier is free. If he asked tip, it is too much.
Very good location, quiet and beautiful. There is a very large balcony in our room where we can relax and enjoy the sun and view. The garden is beautiful. We had a walk around. I have to express my many thanks for the staff, especially Mr. Mamdouh. He is so kind and helpful. He gave us information about the room, the hotel, and meal, etc. He helped to contact the travel agency for the taxi problem. Thank you Momdouh! We even regret that we should have stay Movenpick Aswan 2 more nights if we knew the hotel was so good.

SingaporeThe staff behaviour before Ms Taysser’s intervention was atrocious. They refused to keep the ice pack in the freezer and claimed that the hotel has stopped giving packed breakfast because of environmental priorities.
What was magic was the intervention by Ms Taysser Gawad, the guest relations manager, to solve our problems. We were staying there for 1 night and then leaving for Cairo next day early morning. I needed to keep the ice pack for my diabetic medicine in the freezer and to get packed breakfast in the morning. Ms Taysser made that happen. The two rooms we had were excellent with Nile view balcony. And bth the food and views from the rooftop Panaroma restaurant was iconic

MexicoBetter coffee for breakfast would be nice and fresh made local bread. The pool open until the evening will also be extra convenient
The best customer service I experienced in a long time. The staff is just superb, they contacted me via whatsaap weeks prior to plan my arrival and gave me all the information I needed for a smoth visit. They have a boat and dock station to take you to the island, so no need to worry about the logistics of arriving. The moment I walked in the hotel, they welcomed me by name! The lobby is really nice Shahd and Esraa from Guest relations made me feel extra special planning a birthday cake upon check in and even singing happy birthday to my mom and me. They had musicians playing songs in the evening and welcome drinks at the lobby. The room is clean and has all the essentials. Moamen from housekeeping found my wallet (I left it in the room) and reported it. They contacted me via whatsapp and made sure I got it back. (I was already in another town!) All the staff I encountered was just very friendly and helpful. They all deserve a 10! Thank you for making us feel welcomed!

FinlandThere was no free entrance to the other part of the Elephantine island - a resently built wall prevented passing to the Nubian village and the museum at the other end of the Island. So you had to take a ferry first to Aswan city and then another ferry back to the island to the Nubian village and the museum. This was really annoying.
Location, breakfast, restaurants, and views- all top notch.

The view from our room was breathtaking. We could see the lovely boats sailing up the Nile. In addition, we could see the Tombs of the Nobles directly across from us. At night both the Tombs of the Nobles and the boats that travelled up the Nile were lit up. This visual experience was truly magical for us!
